My husband booked a dual trip to Paris then Venice to celebrate my 50th birthday, and his a year earlier. First impression was very favourable, nice welcome by friendly, helpful staff. We were offered an upgrade to a larger room for €30 each night (we were staying for 3 nights) we were offered the bedroom on the top floor, which... More

We arrived at the hotel early in the day, and we were accommodated right away. That was very nice. Everyone was very friendly, gave us recommendations how to get around. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. We had a small terrace with nice panoramic views. We will definitely stay here again.

We booked a Superior Triple at Hotel Hesperia for two nights in March. For the price (about $200 per night) we got windows overlooking the Cannaregio Canal, en suite bathroom, free wi-fi, and two beds, one double one twin. The room was very small but clean, modern, and quiet. We were allowed an early check-in by the friendly and accommodating... More

Our group of six stayed here for two nights and what a find! This is a lovely, charming hotel with fantastic hosts, especially Martina, who was always so friendly to talk to and has fantastic local knowledge. We had two double rooms and a twin room, all of which were a good size, but with small bathrooms which is the... More

This hotel is simply the best kept secret in Venice. Martina was a delight and extremely helpful, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and location is perfect; quiet area and an short walk to the train station.

Great location and helpful friendly staff but rooms very small (have experience with two rooms as we traveled with another couple) and rather drab and in poor repair. Eating area is nice but rest of building quite dark and cramped. Can definitely do much better in Venice in my mind.

A great little hotel, located right on a canal, and within easy walking distance to everything. The rooms were very clean and well presented. The excellent breakfast was continental, with all the usual cheese, ham croissants, cereals etc. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, and made us very welcome. We really enjoyed our three day stay and would... More

We stayed here for one night - a Wednesday. Arrival into Venice was by train and the hotel is about a 7-8 minute walk from the station. It's licated alongside one of the canals. It's an old building and has no lift. We had a room on the second floor and overlooked a side alleyway. On the roof of the... More

A lovely little hotel. If I was to make a suggestion to someone visiting Venice for the first time it would be to book a hotel close to the bus and train station. Hesperia fits the bill. We arrived late at night and the Hesperia was an easy few minutes walk. We stayed in room 206 which had its own... More

This hotel is outf the main tourist area but still close to everything. It is on the same island as the railway station, so you do not need to carry your luggage over bridges or on to the vaporetta. There is a vaporetta stop nearby, so you can get anywhere you need to go and, if you want to join... More
