After three weeks of driving and riding trains in our tour of Sicily & Italy, we had a bit of trepidation about Venice and the water. The vaporetto ride from the train was a bit of a challenge since most travelers did not seem to have baggage with them. We toted our bags and did just fine. Getting off the... more

Although the staff at the hotel were friendly, the owner is a thief and ripped us off. We pre-paid a family suite at top premium dollar and when we arrived they put us in a tiny room wtih two twin beds and a cot. First the hotel tried to claim we didn't book a suite (being a travel agent, I... more

I wasn't too sure what to expect of a Best Western in Venice - but I was pleasently surprised. The rooms are very small and a little on the basic side, but overall it was a nice, clean, no frills hotel. Wi Fi in the rooms and breakfast, again, is quite basic. But the staff were helpful, it was well... more

This great hotel is just a few minutes walk from the vaparetto stop at San Zaccaria, which is on the same line as the boat that runs from the airport & is just off Riva degli Schiavoni. We arrived quite late & were given a warm welcome at the reception desk. Unfortunately I don't know the receptionist's name, but he... more

Me and my wife had a 2 nights stop in Venice on our way to a wonderful trip to Europe, and this was a perfect location! Its a close walk to all locations in the area. However, i really hated how difficult it is to get to the hotels from the airport. I mean after a long flight, we still... more

We booked a 3 night break through airmiles. The hotel was recommended by Airmiles and had good reviews through Trip Advisor. I am pleased to say that our stay lived up to the good testimonies. Getting to the hotel was very easy. We chose the Alilaguna Boat from the airport. It is a good deal cheaper than the water taxi... more

What a great little hotel. Close to San Marco, so you can see all the sites with ease. My husband was so impressed when we stepped off the waterbus that had brought us from the airport (13 euros one way and takes a good hour) and within a few mins we were in the hotel. You get off at San... more

This hotel is a passable 3-star. The first room we were given lacked a shower curtain and was small; the second was larger and better (but no bedside clock). TVs are small CRT designs. No moisturizer. Not much soap was given. Bedspreads were the old type that are probably washed once a year; bed was comfortable, but the sheets were... more

Stayed here for 3 nights with friends. Very happy with friendly welcome, especially Perantonio at reception who was always willing to talk and explain things about Venice, giving good recommendations. Our lack of Italian was no barrier, as they spoke good English. Kettle etc. was provided on request. Good selection of food at the self service breakfast. This is a... more

Not a bad little hotel, very convieniently located near St Mark's & the main sites. All of Venice is very accessible either on foot or by water (use the vaporetto water buses, best value or the small Treghetto for a cheap Gondolla ride!). Back to the hotel. The breakfasts were good. The staff were friendly & helpful. The bar prices... more
