We had a 4 day stay in Italy and I stayed at this hotel based on a friends recommendation. The hotel room was nice and large - much like the American/Australian hotels that you would be used to. Right across the road from the water ferries and a short walk to a small supermarket for your supplies. A good variety... More

This was an excellent hotel and the most reasonable price. In our month long Europe trip, this was by far the best value for our money ... the best splurge for our trip of mostly B&B's and pensions. It is nicely located on Lido right across the street from the water taxi stop. The view from our room with it's... More

I was traveling with a bunch of friends around Italy, we stayed in this hotel July 17-19. Short visit. All of it was great, my friend and I had a big room (for Europe) and it was on the one of the lower floors, maybe 3rd or 4th. Everything was great and the staff was very friendly. The only complaint... More

I have stayed there many times. The rooms are nicely furnished with antiques. The breakfast is very good ( hot and cold), the location is great, right across from the Vaporetto Pier.Reception is manned with very friendly multy lingual personnel. Service is outstandig. More

I stayed here with two friends in October 2010 for three nights. The room was clean, but per usual the bathroom was pretty small. You'll have to take a water taxi over to the hotel, which can be a pain if you have a lot of luggage, but the price makes up for that. Others have said it was expensive,... More

(Please forgive the wrong travel dates above) I stayed in Hotel Riviera on 12th Sep 2009 for 1 night only, in a single room (bf incl) for EUR100 per night. Honestly it was a bit pricey but I was on an official visit, otherwise I would not have paid so much as it is over my budget limit. Pros: "Beautiful... More

This is a hotel that you should use for staying 1 week quietly away from crowded main-island. Only weakness is the water in the bathroom is not stable. More

We were staying in Venice for 3 days and 4 nights and after much investigation chose the Riviera hotel. This ended up being the best part of our 5 week holiday (not just because we got engaged in Venice) but also because the location was just perfect for us. The water bus stop was just across the road, which was... More

When you go on these sightseeing trips you sleep and shower in your hotel room. After a long day of sightseeing you just want to collapse into a comfortable bed...not a concrete slab that they wouldn't make a prisoner sleep on! We were both very tired during our whole time in venice. I would also agree with other comments that... More

Overall we liked this hotel and it was about want others had said on TA. We also had no issues with staying on the Lido instead of in Venice. The water bus service is outstanding and runs 24x7 so you really are connected just about anywhere in the Venice area including on the Lido. The hotel is also located directly... More
