The grounds of the Villa Mabapa are charming, although prone to insect visitors. Breakfast is a decent spread. Staff a little sniffy but no real problems. My main issue is that the bikes, which are meant to be free and are almost essential if you need to get around the Lido, cost 14 euros a day during the film festival.... more
This hotel looks good. Make sure if your breakfast is included. When I checked in, I was told that breakfast is included. But, the manager asked us to pay for the breakfast we had when we wanted to checked out. more
Lovely small hotel with friendly, attentive staff. Loved the quiet room off the lobby to read the morning paper and sip my capuccino. Room was comfortable and clean. Even in December, the front garden was nice and the short walk to the vaporetto was worth the price. I will go back as soon as I can. more
The hotel is far from the city's main drags and that is why i liked it - nice and serene and a short walk from the vaporetto. The staff was friendly and accommodating and helpful in providing information. Overall a very good experience. more
Villa Mabapa looks great from the outside and the restaurant is nice. So, as I passing through these areas, I am thinking that I could not wait to see the room - it must be great...Wrong!!!!
