We stayed four nights in this hotel in Lido, Venice. The hotel is in front of the sea, very good location, nice but very basic, good breakfast. The people at the front desk were a little rude and did not want to be "disturbed" by the guests. I asked for cards, chest or any game to play, a young blond... more
We have just returned back from a thoroughly enjoyable short break to Venice where we stayed in the Villa Mabapa. Having read Trip adviser before hand we found a lot of relevant information missing which would certainly have been helpful to us. Firstly, the location. Lido is not a main area in Venice and may only get a small mention... more
Service was good helpful and staff were serious but polite. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable thought the temperature in the room was either too cold or too hot (recommend checking if it works properly). There is a lovely bar area and breakfast room with water views. The hotel is on Lido, a lovely island where you can see... more
The grounds of the Villa Mabapa are charming, although prone to insect visitors. Breakfast is a decent spread. Staff a little sniffy but no real problems. My main issue is that the bikes, which are meant to be free and are almost essential if you need to get around the Lido, cost 14 euros a day during the film festival.... more
On arrival the reception staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The room (in annexe) though basic was very clean and included all the essentials that we needed. Obviously in August the weather was hot but the air conditioning worked well. Breakfasts though continental was was well presented and of good quality. Dinner was taken in the garden area over looking... more
2 nights in this this far from 4 star hotel. It was clean but not very comfortable, no bath. Friendly staff but helpfulness a bit thin on the ground. no prior advice on how to get to the hotel. We ended up with a stressful journey which would have been so much easier had the hotel given us prior advice.Food... more
This hotel looks good. Make sure if your breakfast is included. When I checked in, I was told that breakfast is included. But, the manager asked us to pay for the breakfast we had when we wanted to checked out. more
Just back from 8 incredible days in Venice. The hotel is in a fabulous location on the Lido, great if you want to get away from the noise of Venice, however its only a 10 minute waterbus ride to St Marc's. They have recently put a new water bus stop 50 yards from the Hotel. I would suggest paying the... more
Would stay here again...depending on my room. The grounds are lovely and the main building is charming. The hotel consists of various out-buildings. Ask for a room in the pink building at the front of the property. It's very nice. I was originally given a room in a building at the back of the property and it had the distinct... more
