We got slightly (ok, a little more than slightly) lost on our way here from the ft.e Nova port because google maps had a street mislabeled. Once we got to the square near the hotel we saw a sign pointing us to the hotel. The bathroom ceiling is low (when i stand straight up in the shower my head brushes... More

We wanted a quad room so did not have a huge choice of hotels and were delighted to find Ateneo. The location was ideal close to San Marco and lots of restaurants. Our room was outside the main hotel but this was not an issue. In fact I liked the separate entrance and privacy. The wifi was weak however which... More

Very nice old hotel located in the central of the the city center and in the middle of all attractions, although its very quite. They serve delicious breakfast. Hotel rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable. The staff are so friendly, specially "Stefan" he was so helpful and kind.

I stayed here with my two daughters for three nights in August, 2014, and it was wonderful in every way. The front-desk staff was friendly and helpful at all times. Our first room was right on the canal, which was thrilling for my girls who enjoyed watching the gondolas drift by in the evenings. Due to a mix-up in booking... More

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in July 2014. The location was perfect as within walking distance to all the main attractions, restaurants and importantly away from the crowds. The room was comfortable but like the bathroom they were both very small but were clean and well serviced. The breakfast was simple but adequate. Staff were polite,... More

We were on holiday in Croatia , Rovinj, decided as we could we wanted to show our son Venice on his birthday ! we travelled on the hydrofoil 4 hours and thank goodness we booked an overnight stay as you could not see enough in one day. The Hotel was unassuming tucked away in a small side street not too... More

The perfect location! We had a room overlooking the canal on the second floor and it was perfect. The beds were very comfortable, the room was quiet and clean. Staff was very polite. Breakfast was not that great but it was sort of expected from an Italian hotel. One unpleasant part of the experience is the lack of elevator and... More

Stayed here one night in Apriil 2013, found it easy enough to find after getting off at square, just ask.. Room on 2nd floor and yes had to carry cases up stairs. Room clean but small, booked a triple so son was on the couch but his bed was comfy as was our king size bed. Loved the old fashion... More

yes we are well familiarised with the experience of "European small" for rooms, but you know it's too small when the logistics of suitcase management becomes a real problem and you have to start shuffling furniture around to manage 2 suitcases. the staff were friendly, no issues. the room was clean the location was good. the breakfast was fine but...
