This hotel was a five minute walk from St marks square, which is why we booked it on the advice of our travel agent. Our first visit to Venice. We had a private water taxi, not cheap, but for a ride into Venice, well worth the cost. It dropped us a the end of the street where our hotel was... More

Good hotel. Near to the St.Marks square. Good restaurants and shopping areas nearby. Hotel staff is nice. Rooms are fine. Not bad if you are travelling with your family. Reasonably good breakfast. Quite good!!

We spent 3 nights here. We would not recommend this as a best choice in Venice. The floor in the room was definitely on a slope. We had to step up to enter the bathroom - odds for a stubbed toe upon entering, or twisted ankle upon exiting. It seemed as though the mattress was was resting on the floor.... More

We spent 4 nights in this lovely old hotel. The bedroom was a generous size and while the bed was firm we slept soundly...especially with the shutters closed and the room became pitch black- perfect for the mandatory afternoon siesta. Perfect location just a few minutes walk to everything including the ferry stops. Lovely and quiet and just off the... More

On the plus side, the water taxi can go right up to the hotel. There are elevators and the rooms are fairly large, as are the bathrooms. It is also fairly close to shopping and St. Mark's Square. On the minus side, the beds are hard as a rock, the pillows are only about an inch thick and are also... More

We found the hotel dated, the pillows provided were like bricks and when another two were requested it was a raised eyebrow moment... Also find it very annoying that hotel operators prefer to only give information about the most expensive means of transport (in our case to the cruise terminal). Price quoted was 90 Euro, for a water taxi. We... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and can't say anything bad about the place - the room was just a normal size, clean / tidy room (assuming most of the rooms at hotels in Venice are similar to this). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Had the breakfast once here and nothing too exciting to brag about but filled you... More

Hotel Kette could be great, but it isn't...the rooms are dark and dank, the view of the "canal" we requested overlooked something more resembling a dirty, trickling stream than an actual canal. The entire building needs an overhaul..updated furnishings, brighter lighting to make up for the lack of windows/views, and perhaps enough electricity to support its nominal blow dryers (I... More

This hotel is in a nice location close to a lot of upscale shopping and within walking distance of all to see in Venice. The front desk was friendly and very helpful. The hotel location lacked proximity to great restaurants and shopping, but the front desk admittedly indicated that authentic (non-touristy) food was hard to come by in the areas.... More

My friend and I stayed at the Kette Hotel for one night in August as we were catching a cruise leaving from Venice the following day. The location of the hotel was excellent - we were able to arrange transfers both from the airport and to the cruise ship from a landing that was 5 minutes walk from the hotel.... More
