The location is great - 5 min walk can get to a local coffee shop for breakfast every morning (not a lot of selection but good for something quick). The hotel breakfast cost Euro $35 not including coffee which is very expensive for what you get (plenty of selections but not worth $35 euro). The service is great. My friend... More

Great "Old Dame" in a great location. Received a wonderful greeting at the Luna and a good room. The bathroom with oodles of fresh towels a heated towel rack and lovely toiletries in a marble setting should be especially noted . The bed was super comfortable with crisp clean linens . Most rooms don't have a view but the location... More

Great location, great staff, really nice room. We were with a Taulk tour and we were treated exceptionally. We would definitely come back or seek out other Baglioni hotels in Italy. Everything was clean, everything in our room worked well and it was comfortable and well taken care of.

All of the Hotel Staff were extremely friendly! While I was originally only at the hotel for the event, I returned to dine at the hotel due to their wonderful service and excellent ratings. After seeing and spending some time in the hotel, i would definitely stay there during another trip to Venice.

Luxury hotel with old world feel right on the grand canal, next to San Marco square. Large rooms with nice appointments but expensive. The prices in the hotel restaurant are on the very high end. I felt that the costs being what they are that they shouldn't try and an nickel and dime you. For example, charging extra at breakfast... More

The Baglioni Hotel is in a fantastic location which allows you to walk easily around the San Marco/Grand Canal areas. This is wonderful after-hours when the tourists have left and the real ambience prevails. There are some fantastic restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, Harry's Bar is next door and lots of alleyways filled with shops to keep you... More

Wonderful experience overall - beautiful location, literally right off the water, with ornamental and period decoration to cement in the lavishness and luxury. The entire staff is on point - courteous, helpful, and politely competent in recommendations, bookings, cleanliness, and generally helping guests enjoy their stay. The location cannot be overstated enough - it is in the heart of Venice,... More

This hotel gave us a nice upgrade (due to Fine Hotel and resorts), however our checkin wasn't available when expected. Overall the hotel did OK, but didn't provide the service I'd expect from the price. The AC also didn't work, and attempts to use it heated the room.

Dear Guest, Let us thank you for choosing us for your stay . Wish to recall that check in time is clearly mentioned at time of reservation therefore an earlier admission is always up to availability including FH&R guest program. During wintertime A/C works only as heater since temperatures are very low. Gianmatteo Zampieri - Hotel Manager More

Travelling in early January We picked up a very good deal for 3 nights at this very comfortable hotel although we would not have wanted to pay full price! Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
