I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I booked this based on proximity to the Ferrovia Train Station. Indeed, we could quickly walk here from our train on arrival and also leaving without having to buy the Vaporetto ticket immediately. Service was very good. There was almost always someone at the desk for help. Spoke very good English. Very knowledgeable... More

right across the station. did not have to walk around Venice with my luggage. A lot of people come to Venice with a map and try to find their hotels late night. its not easy. getting a hotel next to the station really helps. its very easy to get lost in Venice. Nice hotel and friendly staff. breakfast was nice... More

Quiet, but Venice never really sleeps so always the noise of canal "busy-ness", which itself is relaxing........though the tide horn(s) by design are a blast. Always easy to find your way back towards the station so never lost. Highly recommend, price very reasonable (November). Enjoy.

This was the second visit to this hotel. We loved it the first time and even more this visit. It is ideally situated by the train station and bus station and water buses, close to the ghetto region of Venice which is our favourite part with lovely restaurants and bars. The hotel is very clean, and we were greeted with... More

The hotel is at a very convenient location and reasonable priced. Room quality is good and so are the amenities. Pros: - Location: Very close to the train station which is also a good hub for the boats - Price: Venice can be quite expensive, the hotel was very resonably priced - View: I got a triple room at the... We spent only 1 night in Venice in mid-October 2014, but really enjoyed our stay at the Gardena. Peter in reception was fabulous! He set us up for a gondola ride at a discount and was very helpful. The hotel rooms are pretty and very clean and the breakfast room is gorgeous as well as the lobby. The breakfast was... More

Although the room was clean, it was extremely out dated. It also felt like they shoved a mattress in a room that was too small. The breakfast was your typical continental breakfast nothing special. The staff was excellent, always willing to provide help and service. Since Venice has a million bridges all with stairs, we were glad that the location... More

When we arrived, we loved how conveniently located it is, right around the corner from the Grand Canal and close to both the train station and bus station. We were given an odd room (101) which seemed to be an afterthought as it's located right behind the reception desk. The door of the room literally opened up to the lobby.... More

Location is excellent. Breakfast offered was very good - selection and quality. Room size was large. But ...... the hotel wasn't clean. A little shocked for what we paid per night. Furniture in lobby was old and dirty. Mold everywhere in the bathroom. Carpets were filthy. The place is in need of some love to bring it to an appropriate... More

Situated 50 metres from the Grand Canal, the Gardena is in a great location. Piazzale Roma is the main hub for the vaparetto (water bus) service, where you can travel anywhere around Venice and is only 5 minutes walk away. There are several good, reasonably priced restaurants very close to the hotel. The hotel itself is clean and quite comfortable.... More
