4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stayed here for 3 nights over Easter with our kids (age 11 & 8) in a quad room and it was a perfect base for exploring the sights, a short wander to restaurants and very close to Rialto, 10 min walk to St Mark's square. For the money, it was great but I would say it's more 3* than 4*... More

We had a very nice stay at this Hotel over New Years. The breakfast was very good as well. At night I would open my window to let the cool air in and listen to the water and boats pass by. The room was big enough for everything and very clean. The bathroom was good and the shower as well.... More

We stayed in this hotel during Spring break and had an excellent experience. It has great ambiance, as well as updated bathrooms with towel warmers. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with a window over a side canal. The room also had a safe and extra pillows and blankets in case you needed them. Also the heat/AC worked perfectly.... We found this hotel through a blind third party booking site. It was rated 4 stars and in a general area where we wanted to be. Two rooms at 54 a night sounded great. It took a good while to find them and once we did we were told that the booking was for two single bed rooms. We booked... More

We stayed here with our two young children for spring break. The hotel is pretty basic, no wow factor other than standing on the balcony overlooking the canal after breakfast on a sunny day. TV has no english channels. Bathrooms very clean and updated however. No irons, coffee machine or anything of that sort in the rooms. Very central location... More

booked the hotel for a spring break, It provided every thing we needed. This hotel has great ambience, the room we had overlooked the Grand canal and the hotel is near all the major highlights of Venice. Would recommend it to anybody looking for a ideal place to stay for a short city break.

Okay, so as we were travelling from Trento, we decided to book with a few hours notice , which was fine as it is not the peak season and there were plenty to choose from. We went for this hotel, literally whilst leaving the car and going for vaporetto. Got there and it was rather empty. Ohh well, gave the... More

I stayed here with my wife over a weekend and stayed here for the first time. We got a room on the top floor overlooking the water. The room is large and open. The bed is a little small and stiff. Unfortunately I saw a bug when I pulled covers open. The television did not have any English channels available,... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
