This is located in Venice. It is convenient as it is just over the bridge. The location was perfect if you are carrying luggage, as Venice is pedestrian only you want to two your luggage as little as possible. The hotel has a great breakfast, friendly staff, and views of the canals. The hotel also offers free boat service to... More

Had booked a room in annex but we were offered one in the main building! The view was great-overlooked the canals. Room was quiet, average size for venetian standards, Bed was very plush and comfortable(although it was two single beds put together). Breakfast was just amazing. Francesco was very helpful. Even the other staff were very helpful. Very grateful to... More

The Arlecchino is the best location in Venice. It is on the Grand Canal a very short walk over a bridge from the parking lot (Piazzale Roma) as far as you can drive on to the island. Cross another bridge right outside the front door and you are at the vaparetto/boat taxi stop. Cross another big bridge and you have... More

Great location, on the Grand Canal, some rooms with views of the canal, we had one of these and the view was spectacular. The hotel is directly across [ by foot bridge] from the Piazzale Roma, the bus stop to/from the airport. Nice staff, great breakfast. Be sure to check the rate schedule as we had a significant rate change... More

We spent 2 nights in the Hotel Arlecchino in March 2015 and I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Firstly the location is perfect, we arrived by train and we were just a short walk from the station and we found the hotel easily. We were welcomed by attentive, professional and courteous staff and to our amazement were shown to... More

Stayed here for my first visit to Venice and my exceptions were exceeded in every way! We wanted to be near the train station as this was city two of three we were visiting using the trains. Contacted hotel after I made the reservation and they provided detailed information on the best way to get to the hotel from the... More

We paid €200 for a small, dated room, with average breakfast in a cramped room and bad coffee. Nice view of the canals though. We needed a place within a few hundred meters from the car park, and the location really is very convenient. However, it can get a bit noisy at night, and if you don't mind a walk... More

We stayed at Hotel Arlecchino a couple of nights prior to embarkation on our cruise. This is a quaint hotel right on the canal. We had a corner room on the third floor and had a beautiful view of the canals and bridges. Our room was quite small but well appointed. The bathroom had a bath tub and was very... More

We stayed one night at Arlecchino Hotel in Venice this past October. I have to say, our stay was superb. We were able to check in early at around 11:00 a.m., which was amazing! Our water-facing room was unbelievable with a large bath tub shower and comfortable bed. The free breakfast here is really great. I would stay here again... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
