The hotel is ideally situated for all transfers from the airport, and is set in a lovely location. We could not have found a better hotel and location to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The receptionist was very helpful throughout thank you and the staff were brilliant thank you. Will be returning . Also a big thanks to their sister... More

We stayed at this hotel pre cruise and it was ideally situated, just one bridge from the Piazzale Roma which is where the airpot shuttle buses arrive and the people mover to the cruise ships is located - within walking distance of all the main sights and with easy access to the vaporetto and water taxis if required. Room small... More

We stayed for two nights and loved the place. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely even if the view wasn't great. It had everything we needed although tea/coffee making facilities would have made it perfect. A short walk from the train station and ideally situated for most amenities. Would definitely visit again.

Fantastic room, beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, very good value for money, we were impressed! Perfect location, so easy to reach from the station, and right over the canal. Staff extremely professional and helpful, really really nice all of them. It couldn't have been better, we'll definitely go again!

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
