We just returned from an exceptional stay at the Cipriani (actually, we were shown to our favorite accommodation in the Palazzo Vendramin with views across to San Marco). Every detail is perfect and the service is unmatched (well perhaps matched by the service at sister property Villa San Michele outside Florence where we also stayed). Special mention must be made... We Stayed for our wedding anniversary in July 2015: transfer to and from airport was seamless, all arrangements for tours, restaurant bookings etc were first class, staff were accommodating in every way - service was precise and correct at all times, pool is a fantastic amenity, and only a short 10 min boat ride to St marks which runs constantly... We had a wonderful time at the Cipriani, and it is now our favorite hotel in Venice. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Also, they make you feel at home, in a family style. The rooms are all very nice (canal view or garden view). The choice of restaurant is great and I would definitively recommend a diner at... More

We traveled to Venice in June for our wedding anniversary, and stayed at the Belmond Cipriani hotel for 2 nights. Absolutely stunning views - the pools, the gardens - oh my God - truly beautiful. Thanks to the staff as they made us feel welcome

Absolutely wonderful stay at this incredible hotel - the private boat arrival, amazing suite in the Palazzo Vendramin with its own garden, the views and grounds are just beyond beautiful, the pool, dining on the terraces and all the charming staff. Just loved it and can't wait to return!

We travelled to the Cipriani hotel for our 50th wedding anniversary last year for 4 days. What an absolute stunning location. The staff could not enough for us, and the rooms were done out to beautifully, with wine and chocolates on arrival. We did have to "push the boat out" as it was a 5 star and very expensive but... This had been the only hotel we ever stay at in Venice. We tried another supposedly top hotel recently and it felt decidedly 2nd rate compared to the Cipriani……at another hotel large groups of tourists arrived all at once, it was chaotic and a number of staff were clueless. There were many service failures. Not at the Cipriani where all... More

Old school charm, top location, elegant, beautiful pool side. Rooms are comfortable and pretty and the bathrooms are renovated but we had a lot of water on the floor after each shower. Cip's restaurant is a must go! The one by the pool doesn't offer as many options other than pizza and salad.

This was my third stay at the Cipriani. I first stayed in 2010 and loved it so much I returned he following year, each time staying for around a week. So when I booked a trip to France this year I decided to cap the holiday off with a week at the Cipriani again. I was so disappointed. Some things... More

We visited Cipriani's for lunch and the hope of a dip in their pool. Lunch at Cip's was fabulous. The food was pricey, but the quality and the service, exceptional. As we are not hotel guests we were not permitted to use the pool area, instead sitting next to the pool at the bar. A little disappointing for us, but... More

Staying in Giudecca

Neighborhood Profile
Giudecca
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.
