This is one of the most expensive hotels in Venice and I believe is the only one with a swimming pool. The gardens are also a highly unusual amenity and are very attractive. The cost of refreshments in the hotel is of course high to go with the room rates. The decoration in the public rooms and the bedrooms is... More

This is the Venetian dream. Concierge is fantastic , nothing too much trouble and great local suggestions for restaurants. Breakfast out in the gardens over the lagoon is heavenly. Faultless and very personalised stay. A perfect partner with the orient express.

The lifestyle of the rich and famous or Spartan accommodations? We were fully aware that recently there was a lot of hype about this hotel. Clooney, the popular American actor booked up his wedding party here, he himself stayed in a Palazzo elsewhere. Now I understand why. For us the major draw to come here was the tranquil and secluded... More

Dear Wenovo, I thank you for your detailed report concerning your stay at the Belmond Hotel Cipriani in September 2015. I carefully read your comments and investigated with my staff all the various points. Our Front Office Manager escorted you to the first accommodation which was a junior suite, bigger in size compared to the room that you booked (a... More

Stayed here for 3 nights on two occasions now Staff friendly and nothing is too much trouble food is outstanding in both restaurants The ability to escape at any time of the day or night from the busy San Marco by hopping on the private boat back to the hotel is a major attraction of the Cipriani And the pool....glorious... Staying at the Cipriani for 3 nights I really put them through their paces between restaurant & theatre reservations, assistance in organising a birthday suprise for my partner & plenty of water taxis day & night. The staff could not have been more friendly or kind. This is a nuanced hotel & I have nothing but praise. The pool is... More

To swim in the salt water pool in a garden surrounded by palm trees -- and then be whisked away on a beautiful little boat to one of the most fascinating art cities in the world -- and then to return to a beautiful room and a delicious dinner, with views over to Venice under the stars -- simply divine!

We decided to make our own way to the Cipriani. If you can get to San Marco (which is very easy from the airport) the Cipriani has its own launch to ferry you over to Giudecca. From the moment you are helped on board to the moment you are escorted back again the overwhelming feeling is one of being transported... More

We loved the Cipriani. Luxurious and relaxing. The sumptuous breakfast overlooking the lagoon was an experience. The staff were efficient, friendly and very helpful. The 24 hour a day boat service meant you could visit or escape the hectic bussle of Venice at will. We'd have no hesitation in recommending it and hope we can return to Venice and the... More

We had no idea how wonderful this hotel is; t's hard to describe, one of a kind, which begs the question - is it worth it? Yes. An emphatic yes. The atmosphere, the boat that take you to Venice proper, the remarkably attentive staff, the restaurant and bar, it all adds up to an unforgettable experience. Don't think about -... More

Staying in Giudecca

Neighborhood Profile
Giudecca
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.
