A great place to stay, but vulnerable to mosquitoes. Lovely views and very authentically Venetian. There are guidebooks in the apartment and traditional Venetian mirrors along with the beautiful furniture.

This is a an old house in Venice. It is very conveniently located for tourist attractions, but yet not over run with tourists and quiet at night. The large sized kitchen(ette) made it convenient for us, and had all the basic utensils kept clean. Our friends and we took three rooms, and were all very happy - one of the... More

We are SO GLAD we chose lodging a bit away from St. Mark's and the Rialto- there are SO many tourists in Venice now (we went in early June, and it was already swamped with tourists). Ca'Badoer is off an extremely quiet little square, and far from the hustle and bustle of tourists. It felt like coming home. Our group... More

We had the good fortune to "stumble upon" this flat on VBRO. Reserved it for a great price... Less than a hotel and yet it had kitchenette and private on-suite bathroom.. Something that many affordable hotels did not offer. The accommodations were excellent (there is an elevator). The Owner/managers were wonderful to work with..(and available).. The location was as good... More

Ca'Badoer is in a great location, just next to the Frari, close to practically everywhere (not just tourist attractions, but also a coop supermarket and the market at Rialto). I stayed in a pretty and very quiet mini-flat, with free wifi and comfortable facilities. The management is friendly and exceptionally helpful. I've already booked my next stay!

Wonderful location in the real heart of the tiene. Tiny flats, well equiped, elevator. All the best in the best way, at the best price. Kind and helpful the propriety. Near Frari Church, Not far Accademia or Rialto, walk distance. We had a two rooms flat, astonishing view and wonderful light all day long

I stayed in the 'attic' apartment at Ca' Badoer and loved its charm and comfort. This cosy apartment contained all necessary equipment, was quiet and clean and was in an absolutely perfect location in wonderful Venice. Hosts Ketty and Pietro were wonderfully welcoming and helpful. It felt a bit like leaving home after my two weeks' stay and I would... More

We so enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is homey and Ketty has made sure there is everything to start your day or enjoy your evening. The proximity to the Frari church made the area just beautiful. We looked out our windows at the rooftops of Venice and as the evening came the churches all began their caroling. The apartment... This was our 3rd year staying at Ca Badoer. We have now stayed in the South Studio, the Attic and De Barbari flats, and would stay in any of them again. The booking process with Pietro ran smoothly as always. It was a pleasure to meet Ketty again - she gave us a great welcome, showed us around and let... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
