This was a great little place to stay for 2 nights in Venice. Great location near everything, nice clean and spacious room. We had a room just near the kitchen area with a private external bathroom. Not the best, as like a lot of people we would prefered a private room inside the room, but this is Italy in an... More

Good. They are kind. It's a little bit hard to find and 3rd floor, so if you have a heavy luggage, hard to come up. There is no lift. But, room is very clean and comfortable. Location is near by Relaro bridge.

One of the previous reviewers mentioned that the Ca dei Fuseri is "perfect for the walking tourist." I wholeheartedly agree. Venice is a tricky city if you want to walk, but this hotel satisfied all of my needs: The breakfast was great, the location is absolutely fantastic and it's well worth its asking price. The only downside I can think... More

This B&B is about 5 minutes from the Vaporetto stop, which after 9 hours travel is about the distance I had the energy to walk. We were greeted by Steffano who helped us with our bags, and showed us around our room. We were staying in room 6 which has all the facilities you would expect (plenty of storage space,... More

Just got back from staying here. Was in room 8 and only reviewing that did not see much of hosts but they seemed okay when I did. Firstly the b&b in a really good location surrounded by shops a few minutes from main areas like st marks not much walking day or night to do to museums and theatre. The... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
