This place is hard to find without directions so make sure you get it from the owner before you arrive. It is hidden in a residential building on the top floor with steep stairs and no elevators. Be prepare to work ur muscles bringing up your own suitcase. We got two rooms on the top floor with the terrace. It... More

Overall this is an excellant bed and breakfast for the money. The location is a little confusing at first, however if you follow the directions exactly you can't miss it. Make sure you get off at the correct Rialto stop. During the evening the location can be a little hard to find and you can usually find yourself wandering around... More

Overall good considering the prices in Venice. Clean, good breakfast in the room (croissant, yogurt, capuccino/expresso). Very central, close to piazza di san marco. Friendly staff. Quiet place, no complaints about noise.

My wife and I stayed here early March 2015 and we love it! It is very close to everything, very clean, we always felt safe and Stefano and the staff where very helpful. If we where ever in Venice again we would definitely stay here and recommend to anyone visiting.

This little B and B is truly a great place! Steffano - the owner - is very helpful an goes out of his way to make your stay happier and easier. His B and B is conveniently located 5 minutes away from St Mark's and basically everything else. The place is very cozy, its rooms and bathrooms are very clean,... More

My husband and I stayed in this B & B in October 2014, and found it a quiet and pleasant B & B. The breakfasts were fine, and we appreciated a non smoking environment. It was central to everything we wanted to do. No elevator, so you need to be able to climb stairs, which was fine for us. Nice... More

The room was centrally located in Venice and supplied a continental B&B. It was located down oa quiet lane with a cafe close by for that snack. I would recommend this room to any traveller requiring one or more nights

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
