really nice hotel in one of the side streets of venice. It s in one of the small alleys therefore it was a bit difficult to find on map quest or iPhone map.Our room overlooked one of the smaller canals and had a nice bathroom. I had some trouble with hot water at night and also had a hard time finding... More

We have just returned from a great stay at the Aqua Palace. It's a lovely hotel in a great location by the canal. The staff in reception were all very helpful and friendly. We originally had a ground floor room next to the bridge and when we asked if there was another room available instead we were upgraded without any... More

This is a beautiful boutique hotel, set just 5 mins from the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square. We paid for a private transfer from the airport to the hotel, its pricey (200euro) but it was worth it, as we were dropped off right outside the hotels door ! Check the tides before paying for the boat at the airport... More

Unfortunately the stay at this hotel is only a night before we shifted to another hotel. Love how "quaint" this hotel is , love the interior decor of the room. The room is spacious and it came with heater facilities which was wonderful as our visit was in March and it was still chilly. The hotel is near an Italian... More

would have given five stars except for the room size, I know it's Venice but I booked a junior suite and really it was a normal room. Service was excellent, location perfect, price not bad, breakfast was made remarkable by Sylvie (I think) who had only warmth and helpfulness for everyone. Would stay again.

This is what I would call a boutique hotel. The interior is lovely without being lavish; it is impeccably clean; it is small & well located away from the noise of Venice. The breakfast is delicious & the charming server promises that on the second day she will know your name. She does. I can hardly wait to return for... More

So on the second evening we discover surprises at the room Bottle of Moet e Chandon and a plate of fresh strawberry. Which is... More

Stayed here in April 2015 in a suite, which was spacious and had fabulous views over the canal. This is a nice hotel in a super location: you can walk to the main attractions in a matter of minutes. Breakfast was buffet style and had a bit of everything you might want and service was efficient and very friendly. We... More

This hotel is in a nice location. It is close to some fantastic restaurants. It is clean and the staff helpful and friendly. The suites are perfect for families. The pillows were very uncomfortable and hard and some improvement is needed. The breakfast room is small and finding a table can be tricky in the morning for breakfast. There is... More

We stayed two nights here and the suite was lovely. The breakfast spread was great and the waitress super attentive. The hotel was wonderful in helping us find a doctor for our child who hurt her arm very badly. Very happy with everything.

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
