B & B Venice is really well positioned, at walk distance from the train station and few meters away from the Vaporetto S. Stae stop. You'll get everywhere in a few minutes walking. Rooms are nice and clean with a little kitchenette with dishes, refrigerator and microwave, complimentary inst.coffee tea, fruit juices and snacks are included. For families, couplee and... More

The rooms were spacious and clean. Closer to vaporetto stop San Stae, although the whole of Venice is walkable. Nicola - one suggestion, try installing a hand shower in the bathrooms in addition to a overhead shower.

Apartment is easy to find, just a very short walk from the San Stae stop. We were about an hour later than our estimated arrival and annoyingly our phones wouldn't pick up service so we rang the door bell to the apartment and the owners apartment (same building) but there was no reply. Finally we managed to ring and entered... More

It was really good time in Venice! Thank you for the great location, clean flat. Everything was good. Now I have a lot of nice memories from this trip. About this apartment - good location, very near Grand Canal, 10 min from Rialto. The flat really very clean and warm (warm like some feeling). Owner - nice guy, yes! ))... More

B and B Venice is in a great location, a short walk from the San Stae vaporetto stop, and near the Rialto Bridge. The room was very clean, and a suprisingly good size! There were only 2 other rooms, and it was very quiet at night. We did not get to meet the owner (she had emailed me with very... More

We stayed here for 3 nights before our cruise and then for one more night after the cruise. Its a cute apartment with 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Yes there are a lot of stairs to climb so keep that in mind when packing- we always overpack but it wasn't a big... More

My wife and I spent a couple of nights at B&B Venice in May. It was easy to find, which for first-time visitors to Venice is a real plus. The whole place is comprised of three rooms, each with their own bathrooms, all on the second floor. The rooms are very large. There's lots of room. The bathrooms were new,... More

Staying in Santa Croce

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighborhood identity.
