What a fantastic hotel! It's situated right on the Grand Canal and adjacent to the San Stae station. Yes, it's not located in San Marco, but that's not a bad thing. The hotel is only about a 10-15 walk to the Rialto Bridge, but there are other interesting streets to get lost in around the area. The staff can seem... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Palazzo hotel! It was a perfect location and was about 10 minute walk from the Rialto Bridge, so we were able to see the different squares, streets and shops away from San Marco square. I think if we stayed in San Marco we wouldn't of seen these areas this side of the Rialto... More

We stayed @ Palazzo Giovanelli for the 5th time. As usual very friendly staff, at a perfect location, just a few metres from San Stae stop, beautiful rooms, very comfortable beds Always worth the trip to Venice.

My stay was quaint and cozy. This was first trip to Europe and Italy and I could not have asked for a better staff. Everyone was very helpful. The hotel is very well kept and cleaned thoroughly. The American breakfast was good as well. Condsiering I was in Italy I would ate cooked Prosciutto versus bacon. Also, despite my limited... More

From the checking in to the checking out an enjoyable experience. To our surprise at the checking in we were informed about a room upgrade to a junior suite with perfect view to the Canale Grande. All the staff was very friendly and helpful for any question we did have. Going back to Venice this is definitely the place to... More

Clean, pretty looking rooms and lobby inside the hotel yet not so friendly staff members. Location is towards outer Venice and closer to the train station; so it is quite easy to get on the water bus once you reach Venice and it'll take you straight to the hotel. yet to visit san Mark's square and all other tourists attractions... This hotel is quite lovely and is located on the Grand Canal, a stones throw from a water taxi landing. On the positive side, our room was spacious, nicely appointed with wonderful towels and toiletries. We slept well and enjoyed the view of the canal from our room. There is a gathering area on the second floor that is pleasant... More

I haven't even considered writing a review on TripAdvisor for this hotel, but I was so shocked when I received their email asking me to do so, that in the end I think its really the best thing to do. Back in July I booked a room for a couple of nights in November. Unfortunately, due to a very serious... More

Booked a run of house room, cost AU254 per night. Were put in the attic - literally! Up a flight of narrow stairs in roof space, no windows, aircon didn't work. Could not stand up in shower or most areas of room, as ceilings were 4ft to 5ft high - this is the absolute truth! Only one small area of... More

We stayed here during our honeymoon. The hotel is beautiful and our room was amazing with a view of the Grand Canal. The hotel staff was hit or miss with their hospitality. But as you'll find in Venice, the people aren't as nice as other areas of Italy. And everyone else had bent over backwards for us on the trip... More
