We had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Palazzo Giovanelli on the recommendation of our travel agent. From the moment we stepped onto the private landing to the hotel we were made to feel welcome. Taken up to our wonderful room overlooking the Grande Canal we were greeted with a welcome bottle of champagne. Great start. This hotel is... More

nice clean hote, recpetion staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice but a but small, however good size bathroom. Handy for the San stae water bus stop on the grand canal, its a bit further away from the hustle and bustle which was nice, 15 mins to st marks square on foot. i would definatly stay here again

Birthday surpirse for my better half in March 2014. Beautiful hotel, excellent location for exploring Venice overall. Fantastic arrival via speedboat from the airport to the hotel jetty on the Gran Canal. Very helpful and learned staff. Breakfast plentiful and of good quality. Rooms very nice and cleaned regularly. Plan to return as soon as possible, potentially every March?

Just returned from an excellent 2 night stay in this hotel, located right in the heart of Venice. The hotel has a lovely Reception area, bar (a little pricey, although this is to be expected for Venice) and helpful staff. The rooms are of a decent size, very clean and nicely decorated with lots of marble. Rooms overlooking the water... More

This hotel is a boutique hotel and is located on the Grand Canal at the San Stae waterbus stop. TIP TO FIND IT......When you get off the water bus, stay left and walk past the church and over the footbridge. Turn right and walk along the small canal. Turn left at the first small alleyway and turn left again into... More

Whilst touring Italy we stayed at the Hotel palazzo for two nights! I could not fault the stay! The location was fantastic- easily walkable (10 mins) from Rialto Bridge and St Marks Sq. (15 mins) yet set slightly away from the huge crowds to allow a quieter evening meal! We had one of the attic rooms which I cannot recommend... More

After a multi-day cycling tour, my wife and I decided to wrap up the trip with our final weekend in Venice. The property was nice both inside and out. Very private. A nice mix of old a new. The staff was very attentive. When we arrived, we had the pleasure of being told we had been upgraded from a Deluxe... More

Spent 1 Night here on the 24th July before going to Rome. Lovely hotel, decent size room. Good selection for breakfast. Location is great, right on the Grand Canal with easy access to Gondolas and the Water Taxi's. Very Friendly staff, happy and accommodating. Be aware that normal European travel adapters do not work, however the hotel staff are happy... More

Not so special, but I'm satisfied. I was too busy for sightseeing to spend long time to stay at the hotel room. So, for me, this hotel was not so bad. Most important check point to me is cleaness. This hotel was clean enough. Our room was not that large, but enough for two of us, my friend and us,... More

We had two rooms on the 2nd floor for our family of 5. They were right next to each other and both were very nice. The breakfast was good and offered something for everyone in our family -- fresh cold cuts, eggs, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and good pastries. Coffee was excellent. I found the front desk staff to be very... More
