Ca' Pagan is nestled in a quiet street that is easy walking distance from Piazza San Marco and Rialto, and is right next to a water-bus stop, so anywhere else in Venice is accessible. If you are looking for slick, modern accommodations, this isn't the place. The furnishings and fixtures look like (and in some cases probably are) antiques, with... More

Second Honeymoon - awesome service, amazing rooms, hardest part was finding the place. We stayed during Carnivale 2013 and are still talking about the great time we had. If you're looking for a romantic getaway in Venice, this is the place.

The Ca'Pagan is a lovely hotel, just steps from the San Samuele Vaporetto stop. It's a quick walk to San Marco Square and to the Ponte Academia. With just six rooms, it is intimate and quiet. Lots of marble, silk covered walls, a very traditional Venetian decor. There is no lift, but the staff are happy to assist with heavy... More

very cozy hotel which is only minute of walking from waterbus stop. Decor was as venitian as it gets, so if you prefer modern design a bit more, this hotel is not the right for you. Hotel offered free breakfast and wifi. Very nice lady who would make your espresso for you in the morning. Hotel isn't as big as... More

from the little 6 room hotel you reach to the water transport is less than 1 min or 100 m, from there Venice is yours. San Marco? 6 mins walk. Our room was spacious, with full Venice charm and good quality bed. breakfast is simple but complete and yes... great coffee :) Ca'Pagan is a charming boutique hotel at a... More

We really enjoyed our 3-day stay at Ca' Pagan in June 2015. The hotel has an excellent location - it was very convenient for everything we wanted to see. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the little courtyard is lovely. Our room (Casanova) was a decent size with a good bathroom - we did... More

We stayed here from 8 to 10 June 2015. The location is just about 20 metres from the No. 2 ferry stop. This is a small little guest house, with only about 6 guest rooms. The décor was simply charming and the wife really loved it. The room was a little small but adequate. I didn't like the dual mixer... More

Booked this Small Hotel for a romantic first time stay in Venice end of May 2015, decided to pick this one after reading many reviews. The Location is in a quiet street not far (Easy walking distance) from all the Main locations in Venice. Don't expect major 5 star hotel luxury, but expect to be well looked after by the... More

I feel as though Ca Pagan was once a beautiful gem in central Venice but it feels like the owner has fallen out of love with it – the décor is getting tired, the bed was broken, our bedroom mini-bar had not been replenished following the previous check-out, the Wi-Fi didn't work effectively and the air conditioning was provided too... Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
