1 hour from the Airport taking the Airport Bus 8 Euro per person then 200 yards to the Number 1 Water Taxi. We bought a 1 week pass for 30 Euro. 40 minutes by water taxi and you get off S'Angelo. 5 minute walk toward Campo St Angelo and you will find a beautiful hotel. We stayed in Room 501... More

Such a great hotel for a stay in Venice. All the staff (particularly Giulia) were very attentive and helped arrange some birthday surprises during our stay. Location was great and the room was stunning, really magical. We very much look forward to returning!

A very beautiful hotel with amazing staff. Will definitely stay here again. Complimentary afternoon tea was a nice touch after a long day shopping and sightseeing. Really felt at home here. Nothing was ever a problem they are so very accommodating.

Comfortable stay, the canal outside the hotel stinks a bit, but other than that, the hotel was gorgeous. the room was very clean. Nicely decorated, helpful staff. What we liked the most was the location. Their breakfast spread is amazing!! Its a big spread and the food is really good.

My new hubby and I spent our honeymoon at this amazing hotel. The staff including Nicoli, Julia, Alessandra, Filipo, and Nicolas were exceptional in their assistance, (Filipo went out of his way to find us a mint condition Venetian Flag at his expense and time), the room on the top floor with the soaking tub was superb, afternoon tea was... I've been a couple of nights in this hotel and I can say it has been a great experience. Located in a perfect spot, the hotel is an hidden gem in the very busy Venezia. Just 5 minutes from San Marco square and all the most famous spots of Venice. Our stay in the junior suite was amazing, very spacious... More

This facility was certainly hard to find, but once we found it, it was in an ideal location. It was close to Saint Marks and to countless restaurants and shops. Although our shower offered very limited hot water and the electricity went out two times, the front desk, which was across the campo, was quick to fix things. And the... More

Stayed here in October 2015 for our honeymoon and found Venice to be a beautiful city, despite the weather not being the best - morning flood warning sirens and footbridges provided are excellent. We stayed at the Palazzo Paruta hotel and the suite was wonderful - huge bed and large bathroom in marble. The Palazzo Paruta is ideally located too... More

Visited over New year having married the day before. Our deluxe room was wonderful, staff polite and friendly and food excellent. Location was perfect and easily accessed from the airport by public taxi boat. A great start to married life. Hopefully will return.

We stayed here for a couple nights during the Christmas holidays. The elegance and old world charm perfectly suited our expectation of Venice. The hotel is on a small canal off a quiet square, yet close to many attractions. Our room faced a quiet courtyard and was peaceful and inviting. The breakfast buffet was superb and the afternoon tea a... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
