This hotel is absolutely great. I highly recommend it. The location is close to attractions, the staff is friendly and helpful and the room was so beautiful. Check their website, the pictures are according to reality. You will definitely love it!

We stayed in the Hotel San Luca for two nights. The hotel was easy to find. We arrived early and they stored our suitcase beside the hotel desk until we were able to check in. They hotel clerk gave us a small map of Venice and highlighted a few of the main attractions for us to see. The room was... More

We were looking for a hotel right in the middle of Venice, in order to explore the city on foot or by vaparetto. We could not have found a more central hotel because the San Luca Hotel is two minutes walk from the Rialto and three minutes walk from St Mark's Square. The staff at San Luca could not be... More

Stayed here in early June with another and had a wonderful time. There was an air conditioner problem the first night but MIrco handled everything exceptionally well. The place is perfectly situated for exploring with many lovely restaurants near by. Highly recommend.

Just a tip, get off on the RIALTO water bus exit. We made the mistake of not and it was hard to find. The rooms were nice, small but nice. The staff was super friendly. Breakfast was not the best. The best part of the hotel was the location. Definitely would probably stay in a hotel that wasn't so dusty... More

I great place to stay! Small, but absolutely convenient a a budget-place! 3 minutes to Rialto, 6 Minutes zo St. Marc. Staff was very helpful. The "Annex-Building" was more than perfect... like "a hime from home". I recommend to ast for room 206 - overlooking a little canal, where you can see the campanile of San Marco and the gondole,... We only stayed 1 night at this hotel but it was clean, good value for money with good breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It is close to Rialto Bridge/stop for the water taxis but it can be challenge to look for the hotel as the maze of roads in Venice can be quite tricky. I used google map... More

The hotel was very hard to find if you don't know where to go. I emailed the hotel for directions but got no response. Great location although the annex is a short walk from the main hotel. Very noisy staying on the canal. The wifi connection was spotty and the breakfast was very space. Make sure to have cash as... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
