We spent 6 nights in this romantic inn and were really happy with our choice. The location is perfect: 40 seconds away from st mark´s and yet so quiet. Staff is very helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed the contrast between the stylish venitian furniture and the nice, relaxed atmosphere.

My mother and I and two of my friends recently visited Venice and stayed at the gorgeous Dimora Marciana and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The rooms were gorgeous, clean and traditional Venetian, the location was just a few minutes from St Marks Square and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We also found the breakfasts to be delicious and... More

Although we only had a one night stay, it was perfect for our needs. The location is ideal as it is so close to Piazza San Marco, transportation and all the main landmarks. The only downside was that the breakfast was too simple in my opinion.

You wouldn´t believe to find a place so nice and silent right behind the turbulent and touristic Sankt Marks Square. It´s fantasticly cared for by the very friendly staff. One really feels at home in this personal place. Thank you so much Daniel and Manuel for a wonderful stay in your lovely Hotel.

Fantastic location up a little lane way at top of St. Marks Square. Designer shops and all the sights are literally on your doorstep. Rooms are beautiful, customer service is excellent, we would definitely return. We were away without the children and saw no kids in the Hotel while we were there. I personally feel it's a hotel that's more... More

We stayed one night and it was very nice and very clean. The entire B&B was decorated beautifully and the staff was very helpful. Had a great recommendation for a restaurant and they went out of their way to help and easy to communicate in English. I would definitely recommend.

My husband and I couldn't believe we were able to book such a wonderful room at such a great price, especially in the best part of Venice. So close to the San Marco Square, but still tucked into a quiet street so you don't get woken up with noise. Beautifully decorated rooms, and very helpful and friendly staff. Thanks for... More

Ever dream of a special Venice hotel that you could actually afford? If your fantasy included a San Marco location, lovely decor, and a great staff and owner, then this is your place! Be sure to book well ahead of time as this is a small boutique hotel. We had a terrific time. Tuckers October 2014

First time ever in Venice...and this charming little hotel made our stay all the more wonderful. Homey and comfortable. Off the beat and path away from the shops and noise, but yet close enough to all the sites. The staff was friendly and most helpful, the hotel was clean and neat, the breakfast was great and the rooms were typical... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
