The hotel is very conveniently situated to San Marco and the theater. Exceptionally clean and efficient room (bring your own toiletries). George at the front desk is very helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast was slim but as the hotel has just come under new management, we were told that the breakfast room (and the offerings) were to be updated soon!... More

Thank you to George, Elettra, Rajib for looking after us in this very pleasant Hotel, we stayed in the Olympia suite, which has two rooms that can comfortably sleep up to four people. This hotel is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It's location is incredible a few minutes walk from St Marks Square, but incredibly quiet. I would definitely stay... More

Me and my wife visit Venice at the beginning of December and I'm glad that we choose this place for our stay. I must say that the hotel is placed at one minute away from San Marco square in a very quiet area. It was exactly what we were looking for! The rooms are quite big for a little hotel... More

The location of the hotel is perfect, few minutes walk to the waterbus stop and lots of shops and restaurants around. Nice quiet location to and inside the hotel itself was very quiet. My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and would highly recommend it. The staff spoke very good English and were more than happy to help... More

Very centric location, easy to walk around this beautiful city. I usually prefer small indipendent hotels as usually more authentic and this one did not disappoint. Classic decor, ver comfortable room, great breakfast with freshly baked croissants and homemade pastries, but savoury options are also available. Highly recommended!

This was the first stop on a two week trip to Italy. The location is great in that it is a couple of minutes walk from St Marks and not much further from the vapretto stop. The staff is helpful - helped us with at least one reservation - and friendly. The other good part about the location is that... More

This is a 7 room only private accommodation in the San Marco area close to everything. The room is modest size. The bed and pillow is very hard and the breakfast was poor with stale cereal and fruit that was not good. The room is highly decorated in Venetian style. The Internet service was ok. It was expensive for what... More

Tucked away, but very close to St. Marks, this is a great little hotel. Very helpful staff and owner. Quiet, immaculate first floor room in classic venetian style. The location is its forte, a gentle walk to all the main sites and vaporetti. We booked direct, it was cheaper, in this over-commercialised and expensive must see. Excellent breakfast, not a... Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
