Ca' Bella is a great location, in a quiet part of Canneregio. Krystyna the host was very kind and helpful. The free bottle of wine was also a nice touch! The room (we had a canal view) was clean and the view is very unique!

We stayed for 3 nights and if you want traditional Venetian accommodation at an affordable price then this the place for you. It located in a quiet part of Venice but within a very short distance of the main attractions, everywhere is within easy walking distance from here. Ca' Bella is a small and personal place with 3 bedrooms all... More

Everything in Venice is old and Ca' Bella is right in character. The hand-hewn beams and ceiling boards are hundreds of years old and add to the charm of the experience. We had the purple room which overlooks a small canal which is very picturesque and quiet. The bathrooms are small, but clean and functional. The small courtyard provides a... More

We stayed in this wonderful place just for two nights, but we were very pleased that we did. We had very nice and clean room, decorated with a real Venetian style, with interesting view for the small canal. This place is located in very quiet part of Venice, but still very close to the greatest attractions, about 10-15 minutes walk... More

Stayed for four nights, and host (Christina?) could not be more helpful in directing us to the right places (lots of streets and waterbus stops in Venice). Also, the location was in a residential-area, which was great to just wander around in and discover, as most of Venice is packed with tourists! Low price, great value!

We spend couple of days in the Ca' Bella Venice, and enjoyed a lot of our stay. Rooms are big enough with good level of equipment, and the location is great also when heading to Marco Polo airport by boat.

We were only in town for two nights and this was a great base. Krystyna was fantastic and patient with our questions. Her suggestions and directions were very helpful. This location was convenient to the water taxi and the directions we received prior to arrival were very easy to follow. Clean and quiet. Our breakfast was excellent ... Looking forward... More

Located in the centre, allthough very quiet. Situated at a small canal. Lovely decorated room, very clean and good bed. Krystyna is very helpful. Breakfast ok. Airco available. Would go back there, can advise couples.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
