Alessandro is an amazing host. He was always very helpful when we had questions, and he even drew a map for us so we could find some restaurants he recommended (tried 2 out of the 4 restaurants and both were fantastic). The b&b was cosy and clean, we loved coming back in the middle of the day to rest our... More

We absolutely loved our time in Venice and that was partly due to our stay at Ca' Barba. It's in a great location, very near to Rialto Market. Alessandro speaks excellent English and is so kind and helpful. He loves his city and will go out his way to make sure you love it too by sharing some of the... More

Stayed at Ca' Barba 2nd April-6th April 2013 A great place to stay in Venice - located close to Rialto Market vapparetto stop within easy reach of all main attractions and some great eating places. Good communication with owner Alessandro before arrival and met by him at vapparetto stop on arrival for the short work to B&B. Once there we... More

Our stay with Alessandro made the three nights in Venice one of the highlights of our six weeks in Europe. From the initial email correspondence when booking to the time we reluctantly said goodbye, we could not have asked for a more charming and knowlegable host. Alessandro was there standing in the rain at the vaporetto when we arrived to... More

This is a great place, clean & comfortable. Alessandro is a wonderful host -with excellent expresso, cappuccino & lovely fresh croissants for breakfast. The B&B is centrally located, and it is easy walk or Vaporetto ride to just about anywhere. My husband and I stayed 4 nights and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend Ca' Barba to anyone.

I cannot speak highly enough of Ca Barba. The accommodation and breakfast was first class but the real icing on the cake was the owner, Alessandro. I have never known anybody be so helpful and concerned about his guests, even to the extent of providing us with wellingtons so that we could go paddling in Saint Mark's Square during the... More

we stayed for 2nights here, and I can't complain at all. Alejandro is really a great Host! he picked us up at the waterbus stop and he helped us carry our luggage too. and when we left Venice heading to Rome, he informed us that my friend's eyeglasses was left there, and helped us to send to Rome via post... My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at Ca'Barba. Alessandro is a very hospitable host, and also gave us really good insights on Venice. He told us to just walk around and don't be afraid about getting lost - and we did just that! We managed to walk a whole lot of Venice in just 2 days! :) Our... More

We stayed for 6 nights with another family, so Alessandro rented the b&b to us on a bed only basis, but when we arrived he had stocked the cupboards for us anyway, including pannatone and prosseco for Christmas. Alessandro was an incredibly helpful host - arranged babysitting and helped us immediately with a couple of small hiccups. Can't recommend this... More

We stayed at the B&B for two nights in Mid-December 2012. Our host Alessandro picked us up at the waterbus stop and guided us to the B&B. The Location is really nice. First of all it is right downtown off Rialto Mercato. 10 min walk to Markus Squaire, 2 min to the waterbus stop and lots of Bars and Restaurants... More
