The only good thing that can be said about this place is the location (2 minutes walk from a bus boat stop). The rooms were dark and dated. The wifi did not work in the rooms, were told to go and sit upstairs in a tiny room to use the wifi and not sit on the couch in reception! Even... More

We found this hostel at the last minute and were pleasantly surprised. We received a free upgrade and got a room with a private bath free of charge. We also received a complimentary breakfast of croissants and cappuccino as part of our experience. The location was convenient to shops, restaurants and water transportation. The room was clean and the bed... More

This place is in a great location for exploring the city, but it has a few issues. The room we stayed in was relatively big, but we had to share with other travelers, and had no way to lock up our belongings. There was only one bathroom on the floor (I'm not sure how many rooms there were on the... More

Two friends and I booked three beds in a dorm room for 4 nights at Ai Boteri. The second night the manager upgraded us to a private room and gave us a private bathroom in another room to use without charging us anything more! The service was wonderfull and the rooms were clean. The location is perfect for exploring Venice... More

as a superplus, alex, the guy who owns it, is really really nice. the hostel is very central, it wasn't cold at all inside, the bed sheets were clean and the breakfast was much more than we expected - milk & cereals, tea, coffee, bread and butter. we were 3, slept in a room of 4 and we had a... We arrived at Ai Boteri on Oct 6. That night we had left the windows open while walking about the city and upon returning to the rooms for the night, we found some bugs on the walls and beds. We assumed they were from outside and went to bed. In the morning we found blood stains in our bed and... More

Myself and a friend stayed at the ai boterie. It was affordable and well located. On our last day we discovered bedbugs !!! I have written to them to alert them of the problem and have given them a few days to get back to me, since I have heard nothing I can only assume they are not concerned about... More
