Perfect location in venice! Walking distance from piazza San Marco, ponte di Rialto but far from the crowd! The hosts are very kind and warm and give you a lot of useful information about restaurants, places to see, things to do....and you can leave Venice like a real Venetian Best quality at the right price!!!

We had been to Venice once before and we love the city , there is just so much to see and do. Staying here at Campiello Zen just added to the enjoyment of being in Venice It is close to the station and for Venice only needed to check the map once... Then it is easy walk to Rialto and... More

We chose this small B&B based on Trip Advisor reviews. We could not have been happier with the decision to stay at Campiello Zen. Hosts Andrea and Susanna make you feel at home during your stay. They welcome you into their historic restored home which was built over 500 years ago. They help you see and experience the best of... More

I chose Campiello Zen based on its first class ratings and couldn't be more satisfied. The welcome and attention to detail offered by Andrea and Susanna is faultless. Nothing is too much trouble and gaining insider's knowledge and tips is invaluable. Thanks to them we followed routes that we wouldn't have considered and saw parts of the city that are... More

This lovely B&B Is only a 10-15 minute walk from the main station, or a couple of minutes from the nearest vaporetto stop, but it is off the tourist trails between the station and San Marco, so it's a bit of an oasis in a frantic town. The welcome was warm and genuine, and throughout our stay much time was... More

This was a delightful stay as the B&B is set in a location that ensures less tourist intrusions being set in a residential area, a little far from the crowd and even still it is very close and at walk able distance from Grand canal and other popular and worthwhile places. The best part of the stay is definitely the... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Campiello Zen. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. What really made the experience great was the host. Very helpful suggesting sights and the best restaurants. It's in a quiet residential area but located close to a Vaporetto stop. We stayed in The Nest and liked the seclusion but beware... More

As usual, TripAdvisor reviews convinced us that Campiello Zen was the place for us for our last two nights in Italy, based not just on comments about the B&B but also about the hosts. As others have said, Andrea is very welcoming when you arrive at the B&B, making you immediately feel at home and that nothing is too much... More

We stayed in the "suite" room at Campeillo Zen on our visit to Venice on our 40th anniversary. It was "old world" charm at its best. The bathroom however is "new world" and is excellent and up to date complete with towel warmer. Andrea was full of great ideas for restaurants for dinner and we had our best dinner while... More

Staying in Santa Croce

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighborhood identity.
