This bed and breakfast is such a jewel...very intimate and small. The owners Susanna and Andrea are top of line host. They are very friendly and very very helpful with recommendations. If we ever visit Venice again we will be staying here again hands down! I even left something in my room on the day of my departure and they... More

The B&B is run by Susanna and Andrea. They are very nice people, extremely friendly with lots of advice of what to do and where to go in Venice. There are only four rooms so there really is a feeling of personal service and you learn a lot more about local life from Susanna than what you would staying at... More

We were in Venize for a weekend. Rest in Campiello Zen was a great experience. We spent some time in the terrasse having a coffee or just enjoying the time. Andrea and Suzanna are very very nice people and they make you feel as your home. Thank you for your help couple! Also to their nice son!! :-)

Capiello Zen is truly a amazing place. Andrea was one of the nicest people we met in Italy. He went above and beyond to help us with anything we might have needed. He even recommended things for us to do when we visited Rome after leaving Venice. We stayed in the Nest room. It was very nice and quite. We... More

Couldn't have been better! Beautiful rooms, catering for our every need (including a gluten-free breakfast!) Andrea and Susanna are so charming, friendly, attentive and helpful. Lovely quiet location, but right by the Grand Canal.

All preceding good reviews are entirely reflective of our experience here. An excellent and charming B&B from which to manage your enjoyment of Venice. First class service and tourist/local advice from Andrea.

My mother and I stayed in Campiello Zen for 3 nights in the Gingko room (in the back of the B&B). We have been in Venice several times and never did we find such hospitality and comfort before. Susanna and Andrea go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We arrived and were greeted by Susanna who immediately... More

My fiancé and I were coming to spend our honeymoon in Italy, with two nights in Venice. We found Campiello Zen on TripAdvisor, and it seemed like a no-brainer. The location to the train station is excellent, and a short adventure brings you to their door. We arrived our first day/night at 6pm, we were greeted by Susanna, who immediately... More

Perfect location in venice! Walking distance from piazza San Marco, ponte di Rialto but far from the crowd! The hosts are very kind and warm and give you a lot of useful information about restaurants, places to see, things to do....and you can leave Venice like a real Venetian Best quality at the right price!!!

Staying in Santa Croce

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighborhood identity.
