B&B Bloom is a very unique place. We stay there every time we visit Venice which is usually twice a year. All the rooms are different with lovely individual decor. The roof terrace is stunning and a great place to enjoy a few glasses of prosecco before venturing out to dinner. it would be very difficult to beat this accommodation... More

Just back from last minute break in Venice. First time & not the last! We manged to book directly with hotel, 20% cheaper than online providers plus 10% additional discount when paying in cash! Hotel staff sent detailed directions as you need to check in via Florita hotel around the corner. Room was lovely, staff discreet & available. The roof... More

Lovely B&B, in an ideal location, with helpful and welcoming staff. Really liked the roof terrace and views over Venice and look forward to returning one summer to make the most of warm evenings and chilled Prosecco!

All the rooms are different in this quirky luxurious B&B. Its location is divine - all my favourite places to eat & drink, plus lots of culture within easy walking distance. The roof terrace Prosecco makes for a memorable way to start any evening - fabulous views over the square. Breakfast is continental style, but copious and good, especially the... More

It is so rare that you feel someone cannot do enough for you. But there doesn't seem to be any limit to what Tony will do for customers at Bloom. Sitting in the lobby, i observed him in action, setting up a bottle of champagne for a man about to propose, greeting, smiling, sorting, and generally making clients feel as... More

Venice is magical and staying at Blooms certainly added to the magic .The breakfast was almost like full brunch and was a real delight especially the coffee with hot milk.We were offered a choice of rooms .There was always someone around to help with bags -umbrellas (on the wet day) and the evening concierge was especially helpful (Patrick/Paul ?) .... The room was very very small and stuffy. There were no coffee or tea making facilities in or out of the room. The third bed was a trundle bed - sooo uncomfortable. We were told Foreign language programs were available - this was no so. When we phoned to complain we were told that it would be fixed but it... More

Quite simply you left the B&B deliberately avoided the reception without paying your bill.. I have spoken with all the staff who were on duty during your stay and they are baffled and dismayed as to why you have felt the need to post such vicious reviews that are totally at odds with everything else that has been written by... So.. The room looked great.. and the lady who came around (from outside) was nice and gave us a quick run down of the Wifi and TV stuff etc... BUT on closer inspection: she only worked there (its like a hotel:which if we'd wanted that type of service we would have booked a hotel).... and saved the 70 odd stair... More

Bloom is a chic little B&B situated in the loveliest area in Venice. We loved the helpful and friendly staff, and were actually offered a fabulous room upgrade free of charge for our last three nights. All the rooms have bathrobes and slippers, comfortable beds, lovely linen and great wi FI. The roof terrace is not to be missed. We... More

"third time at Bloom in the autumn and still wonderful. We have had the white room, the red room and now our favourite room 301 which is an eclectic mix of decor, but very spacious. We had a terrific deal for the room this time, I think if you mention you have been before they give a special price. You... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
