It is so rare that you feel someone cannot do enough for you. But there doesn't seem to be any limit to what Tony will do for customers at Bloom. Sitting in the lobby, i observed him in action, setting up a bottle of champagne for a man about to propose, greeting, smiling, sorting, and generally making clients feel as... More

Venice is magical and staying at Blooms certainly added to the magic .The breakfast was almost like full brunch and was a real delight especially the coffee with hot milk.We were offered a choice of rooms .There was always someone around to help with bags -umbrellas (on the wet day) and the evening concierge was especially helpful (Patrick/Paul ?) .... The room was very very small and stuffy. There were no coffee or tea making facilities in or out of the room. The third bed was a trundle bed - sooo uncomfortable. We were told Foreign language programs were available - this was no so. When we phoned to complain we were told that it would be fixed but it... More

Quite simply you left the B&B deliberately avoided the reception without paying your bill.. I have spoken with all the staff who were on duty during your stay and they are baffled and dismayed as to why you have felt the need to post such vicious reviews that are totally at odds with everything else that has been written by... So.. The room looked great.. and the lady who came around (from outside) was nice and gave us a quick run down of the Wifi and TV stuff etc... BUT on closer inspection: she only worked there (its like a hotel:which if we'd wanted that type of service we would have booked a hotel).... and saved the 70 odd stair... More

Bloom is a chic little B&B situated in the loveliest area in Venice. We loved the helpful and friendly staff, and were actually offered a fabulous room upgrade free of charge for our last three nights. All the rooms have bathrobes and slippers, comfortable beds, lovely linen and great wi FI. The roof terrace is not to be missed. We... More

"third time at Bloom in the autumn and still wonderful. We have had the white room, the red room and now our favourite room 301 which is an eclectic mix of decor, but very spacious. We had a terrific deal for the room this time, I think if you mention you have been before they give a special price. You... More

A fantastic end to two weeks in italy. Charming, elegant, and adequately priced. The location is perfect and the staff is more involved than most other B&B in italy. Stairs were a pain, but view is worth it! Will be back!

excellent location and service - lovely room o/looking square. a bit difficult to find but once we found the reception around the corner and just down a side street, we were well catered for. spent a night with my son and room was a good size to accommodate us both.

Stayed at Bloom for four nights before beginning a 10 day cruise to Rome. We couldn't have chosen a better location. Stayed in the room with beautiful brick detail which offered peekaboo views of San Stefano Square and the Campanile. Spent our first afternoon on the rooftop deck enjoying the view and gorgeous sunshine. We were given some great dining... More

We stayed here in August as part of our first stop of Italian cities! Our first time in Venice and needless to say we weren't disappointed! Gorgeous unique rooms, we had the white room with a lovely big bed and two doors which opened out on to the square. Beautiful rooftop terrace which was empty during the day and busy... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
