As many of the view state on here, the views from the room are incredible. You do pay for the view & location, the room itself whilst visually pretty, is actually quite basic, lacking detail (i.e coffee making facilities are provided but no UHT milk etc) The hotel keys are collected from another Hotel reception, so this is more like... We got in venice on a saturday morning last month. The view is stunning. I suggest the hotel to offer more comfort such as slippers, bathrobe and a welcome gift as it is supposed to be a luxury accommodation. I recommend the hotel as the view has no price , but I suggest the hotel to empower the customer experience

First thing you need to go to another hotel to do check in (Panada Hotel) and they don't tell you that in the instructions. After we hunted down the hotel and did check in we got to our room, you need 3 keys to get in to the room. We got room 701 looking straight to San Marco's square. First... More

If you are dreaming about visiting Venice or your partner do! This is the best hotel to stay in there. The hotel is just located on San Marco Sq. Of you want to stay in this hotel you have to have the San Marco view or no need to pay this much for no view. The furniture is simply Great.... More

The best windows rooms have a truly amazing view of Piazza San Marco and the location could not be better. The room was nice, but the minibar was not stocked at all, there was no milk and only two bags of tea available in the room. Also, we had to ring twice for room service to come and clean our... I was worried about which room I would get. I got 701. The room in the picture. I was awesome. The two french doors left of the clock. I was so tired the first two night, I didnt even hear the bells chiming. Wonderful location. I would stay there again!!

One of the best hotels I've been in Venice. Do not book the room in this hotel if it doesn't have a view to San Marco Sqr. WIFI is free which is good but signal is not strong. If I'm going to visit Venice again definitely I will make sure that I have a reservation in this hotel with a... More

This is the only place to stay if you want the best view in Venice. Gorgeous room and decorated just as you would imagine a Venetian palace to be. So easy just to wander down to the square for breakfast or a coffee or dinner. Enjoyed just watching people from the window away from the crowds. Our room was just... More

The view from this hotel was great. But the air conditioning did not work and no hot water. The front desk assured the problems would be fixed, but it didnt happen. They said they could not find the manager so nothing could be done. At check out we didn't even receive an apology. There are other hotels in Venice with... More

We booked and paid for the Best Windows based on Trip Advisor reviews and photos. When we finally got from the airport to the room on a wet, windy day, we were met by the delightful Bellman from the Panada Hotel who helped us with our luggage and trained us on the keys. Our room was one floor up and... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
