I was traveling on my own to Venice for a few days. Valentina, Arnulfo and their daughter were very hospitable and helped me to feel very comfortable in their B&B. It also was fairly quiet as it was away from the hustle and bustle but still just a nice walk to the places I wanted to see. The B&B was... More

Arrived at Marco Polo airport, boarded the express bus, right outside airport, took about 20 minutes to city centre, decided not to take water taxi, but walk, only had a small bag! Follow the crowds, you are going the right way if you go over the glass bridge! It's straight ahead from there... Walked through lively street, shops still open and bars etc, felt really safe! Walk probably took... More

We stayed here in May for 2 nights and it was perfect. This was a very quaint B&B. The rooms are very nice and extremely clean. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful as well. Every morning they had a wonderful breakfast waiting for us on the roof terrace. It is located right off of the main road. Lots of... More

Clean, well kept B&B, with very friendly staff. The place was near the "main street" of the north side. No view from the room to speak of (narrow alley) and a fridge would have been nice, certainly more useful than TV where everything is dubbed Italian. Breakfast was served on a lovely topside terrace. A toaster instead of industrially toasted... More

The Inn was in a great location and the staff were really nice. Breakfast on the roof was great. Wish they had offered espresso or cappuccinos rather than just coffee. We stayed for 5 nights and it seemed most folks stayed on average 2-3 nights. Would probably do that next time. There was also an issue with their credit card... More

I can only echo what all the other reviewers have said: spotless, stylish, attentive hosts, accessible to city, competitively priced and good Italian breakfast. Top tip: take a gondola around the Santa Croce and Dorsoduro areas rather than central Venice for a perfectly peaceful experience.

We had a wonderful stay 2 nights at Angles Inn on June 8th and 9th. I was so much in love with Venice, the most romantic place on earth! I emailed the owner, Arnulfo before booking on the exact water boat stop to save us the walking with heavy luggages. He was very helpful. You need to purchase the water... More

We stayed here 3 nights in May. It was easy to get to from the train station. We arrived and my wife didn't feel great so one of the staff actually walked me to a great take away pizzeria 3-4 minutes away and then set the outdoor terrace up for us so we could eat dinner at the BnB instead... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
