This little B&B is more like a 4 star hotel!! Beautifully furnished and I've never stayed in any B&B or hotel which is as clean as this. We stayed on the 28th and 29th of May. It is quiet, has air conditioning and blackout curtains, all of which ensure a peaceful and comfortable night's sleep. The owner is sooooo lovely... More

Four girlfriends stayed at the Angeles Inn in Venice. We had a wonderful time. Our host was kind, helpful and informative. He gave us a history lesson on Venice over breakfast and always gave helpful tips on traveling around the city, places to eat and shop. He also got up at 4:00 am to help four women with their luggage... More

We stayed at the Angeles Inn for 3 nights this week. Our decision to stay there was based on tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed at all. It is very easy to get to this quaint but charming hotel located just behind the Casino at the San Marcuola vaporetto stop (water bus). The owner was very welcoming and I... More

We stayed at Angeles Inn with our three year old. Our host did everything they could to make the stay pleasant and easy. They also didn't charge anything for our child. Room was big and very clean. Only complaints were hard beds and a little to few things in breakfast although our host brought more as soon as we asked... More

We stayed at the Angeles Inn for three nights on our 24 day trip to Italy. Our room was spacious, and well appointed, and our breakfast was very good. Arnulfo, our host, was a very gracious man who was always making sure we were content and well taken care of. His restaurant recommendations were great - places the locals love... More

Amazing little gem down a quiet little lane in Venice. Location wise, you couldn't do better in terms of proximity to water taxi from the airport and main tourist spots. The hosts were extremely accommodating and laid on a beautiful breakfast every morning. Worthy of note are the extremely comfortable bed and the general cleanliness of the inn. It was... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
