They say they have 24 room service and we had to get on a early train, so we asked for food and the night clerk laughed and called us stupid. He ruined a good experience in Venice because he wouldn't follow through on what they promised they would do the night before. Not a trustworthy hotel.

I am very sorry for what happened with the night portier; I proceeded to ask him an explanation of what happened. Sorry again that the behavior of a rude people of my staff has ruined your stay at Ca' Bragadin; Worse he has insulted you, I will not tolerate his behavior; I hope you accept my apology to, even if... Had a great stay, great room and amazing service, easy to locate and in a great position to get around. We will definetly be back, 2 nights stay was definitely not enough to get to know the whole place, next time we'll make it 2 weeks.

This hotel has a great location, not far from the Rialto bridge and St marks square. We found it easily with the map and video provided by the hotel. Continental breakfast was lovely and filling and everyone on reception was v welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend!

The hotel building is quite old and weird but the room was beautiful and quite spacious. No views from the room as it might be quite premium thing in Venice. Bathroom was good and clean. The hotel is quite difficult to find, but we found a video in youtube that show exactly how you will find the hotel. We did... More

Wonderful hotel & service over all. The staff was extremely friendly & kind, and the cleaning lady was wonderful; she even folded our clothes, picked up our stuff & organized it. I couldn't believe it as I had never seen that in any hotel I've ever been too. She was so good, that I even let the manager know about... More

Altogether a wonderful holiday, central location and near restaurants and local Co-op, on a quiet street, very helpful staff who printed out boarding passes and made internet enquiries for us. Furnishings of a very high standard

This charming quality boutique inn is worth the good reviews it has received. Rooms are very individual and spacious for Venice. Superior rooms quite amazing. Look for the exposed areas of old beams with original stencils in some standard rooms. Service is extremely helpful and breakfast well worth taking to prepare for a long day around the city. The only... More

Excellent location as the hotel is not far from many attractions, the Rialto Bridge and lots of lovely restaurants and shops. Lovely traditional style room in a beautiful city. Very happy with our stay, we had a wonderful time!

Beautiful room! Great customer service. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants and San Marco Piazza (10-15 min walk). I will stay here again on my next visit. Hotel personnel very welcoming and helpful. They provided good suggestions for restaurants.

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
