First I found this hotel very easy to find - I took the ferry from Venice station to Rialto bridge then a short walk. I didn't realise this is a 'bed and breakfast' without concierge. However I emailed the time I will arrive and was not waiting long outside. The room was very charming and cosy. After spent two days... More

Great location, plenty of restaurants and shopping. Gondolas everywhere and are great to go on. Very close to Sam Marco Square, so you can access the b&b by either the Rialto or San Marco stops. Great breakfast served in your room, the best we have had in Italy. Good instructions on how to find laundromat, and they do have an... More

We stayed here in January with friends It is a quaint little B&B just off Piazza San Marco and was perfect for our needs We all loved the breakfast brought to our room each morning - a nice touch and very well organised Our room was a bit basic with limited facilities but our friends had all you would expect... Location! Location! Location! Situated on top of a restaurant, this little B&B is a gem. A few minute walk to St. Marks or Rialto Bridge via charming little streets and bridges. Shopping and restaurants everywhere. The Best Gelato shop ever is just downstairs, opposite the restaurant. Not too easy to find, we walked past it but Hotel Noemi will point... More

We made a reservation for this hotel 6 months ahead for Easter, and the owner canceled our reservation just one month before. Booking.com let us know about it saying it was due to an invalid credit card. We asked our banker who said there was never a request for payment from this hotel, explaining this is a usual scam. Cancelling... More

I can't imagine that there can be a beautiful room so near to Piazza San Marco for this competitive price. In a small street, there is an ancient buiding with a very old facade. But when you open the door, it looks like you are in a tale. The breakfast in the room makes us very happy every morning. The... More

Good option in venice, very comfy beds. Hard to find just go to hotel noemi and ask for directions. Bed and breakfast so there is no "front desk" if arriving late email them, and will have to check in at hotel noemi .

The hotel is a quaint little place, with friendly staff and with an ideal location (even if slightly difficult to find). The staff were super friendly and helpful and I would have given much higher reviews if not for 2 things. 1. The air-con (and fridge) was broken, which is rather unpleasant in high summer. 2. We were charged 20... More

Pros - location (5mins from St Marks Sq and Rialto Bridge. Plentiful breakfast brought up to your room. Decor unique but charming. Clean. Comfy bed. Ace shower. Friendly staff. Cons - air con unit was noisy and tubing kept falling out of the wall. also toilet was a bit high and uncomfortable. No kettle. Just a couple of things to... More

The Ca' della loggia is a perfect hotel for some nights in venice. Its well located (not easy to find, bc the street is pretty small) but its middle in the center and close to the rialto bridge and piazza san marco. The staff is very nice and helpful and the breakfast in room is delicious. The rooms are a... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
