A wonderful property with an excellent location and a very helpful host. Breakfast was great and having an opportunity to make coffee or tea in our room was an added bonus. Thanks Fabio for helping make our time in Venice so enjoyable

We stayed here for three nights and were pleasantly surprised by the amazing location of this lovely bed and breakfast. B &B 3C is a less than a 2 minute walk from the St Mark's Square and the Doge's palace. There are quite a few good restaurants just outside the B&B. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast... More

It really is only a couple of minutes from the waterfront and 3 mins from St Marks. Nevertheless, it is very quiet (unless you leave the window open at night and then you will be wakened by the Campanelle chiming at midnight!). Good breakfast, comfortable bed, very good Wi-Fi in the room and all facilities mentioned on the website. Fabio... More

Very easy directions to follow from our host. Close to beautiful sights of Venice such as St Marks Square and Doges Palace, but in quiet area. Also handy for vaporetti (water bus) for getting around the city and well worth buying a 48 hour pass. Lovely room, very relaxing and excellent breakfasts to start the day. Perfect.

We spent a few days at 3 C in September. We were greeted by Viorica when we arrived. She helped us with luggage, gave us a local map, and some suggestions for restaurants. We found her to be very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and spotless. Lots of great choices for breakfast. Fabio was also very friendly... More

Our visit to Venice was greatly enhanced by staying at 3C. Despite its central location, it is quiet and secluded and spotlessly clean. The owners make a positive contribution to the general ambience. Fabio is a mine of appropriate information and endlessly patient. Eleanora's warmth comes through in her emails which are clear and helpful. We would definitely like to... More

The owners were so helpful before our visit, to explain how to use the vaporetto. The exit was perfect and easy to get to our place. There were many steps but Viorica helped us with our luggage checking in and Out. she was gracious and advised us in so many ways like directions and helped get us an early breakfast.... More

Up a street known for sandwich shops and down a quirky alley is B&B 3C. Press the bell at the gate and our hostess came down to greet us and help with one of the suitcases. About 20 steps up, the the five or so apartments are all on one level. It was only at breakfast we found others were... More

This place is a gem in every aspect. It's centrally located, has great service and extremely comfortable. The owner (Veronica) is helpful and hospitable Don't let the exterior fool you....it looks ancient and dilapidated but the moment you enter the apartment, it's completely renovated and modern. The other huge plus is its proximity to St. Marks square and the main... More

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
