We stayed here last year after reading all the good reviews on TA. The place was cute, not too hard to find, safe, and the room was pretty and comfortable. Unfortunately for us, all of that was overshadowed by the owner being extremely stingy about the wifi. He gives you a little piece of paper with a code on it,... More

The 3C is and inviting and relaxing place, great for couples and friends to stay close to the exciting food and attractions near San Marco. It's a small place with a few rooms tucked away some small alleyways just off the San Zaccharia vaporetto stop. The bed was very comfortable and large. Our room opened up to the busy little... More

Stayed 4 nights April 2015. Excelent location, which was easy to find following their directions. Around the corner from St.Marco, walk with no steps to the vaporetto (water taxi), which is helpful if you drag a suitcase. The place itself is great. Bright, clean, high ceilings, good mattress, top of the line bathroom. Breakfast is more then adequate, always with... More

My wife and I, joined by a friend, stayed three nights in two of the five rooms. Each was good size, with comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Veronica was our hostess in the mornings. She is a jewel. Very helpful and excellent advise on restaurants. One, a very small trattoria just around the corner, is great for lunch though you... More

The apartment was so romantic, staff very helpful, breakfast amazing. We enjoyed the hospitality. I would strongly recommend this apartments to those that would like to enjoy the pure Venice.

The place is in a great location. 2 min walk from San Marco Sq. and 2 min from San Zaccaria vaporetto (public boat) stop. The place is newly rennovated and well maintained. The rooms are very clean with a small fridge, coffee kettle, good mattresses, safe and double glazing. Fabio the owner is very welcoming, helpful and nice. Great value... More

We stayed here for 3 days in September. We had no problem finding it and we were met by Viorica. The accommodations were very comfortable and the location was great....very close to Saint Marc's and the vaporetto stop. Viorica and Elenora were gracious hosts and very helpful giving advise on restaurants and places to see. There was a good variety... More

The location of this B&B is about as close to the action as you can get. You can walk to San Marco square within 2 minutes. When getting off the vaporetto you do not even have to cross a bridge with your luggage. Like most of Venice you are surrounded by restaurants but the owners suggest some great options. Very modern... More

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
