The place is in a great location. 2 min walk from San Marco Sq. and 2 min from San Zaccaria vaporetto (public boat) stop. The place is newly rennovated and well maintained. The rooms are very clean with a small fridge, coffee kettle, good mattresses, safe and double glazing. Fabio the owner is very welcoming, helpful and nice. Great value... More

We stayed here for 3 days in September. We had no problem finding it and we were met by Viorica. The accommodations were very comfortable and the location was great....very close to Saint Marc's and the vaporetto stop. Viorica and Elenora were gracious hosts and very helpful giving advise on restaurants and places to see. There was a good variety... More

The location of this B&B is about as close to the action as you can get. You can walk to San Marco square within 2 minutes. When getting off the vaporetto you do not even have to cross a bridge with your luggage. Like most of Venice you are surrounded by restaurants but the owners suggest some great options. Very modern... More

After searching Trip Advisor for a recommendation of a B&B in Venice, Italy, I was incredibly pleased to find 3C....even though it was a little hard to find. Traveling alone to Venice for a quick 2 day jaunt was wonderful, and the 3C was a fantastic place to stay! Be sure to have their specific directions handy so you can... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in September. The rooms are two blocks from San Marco square, but there wasn't a lot of noise. The decorations in the room were very nice - a bit rustic and modern. Elenora was very helpful giving us advice on places to go around Venice. There was a good variety at... More

The location was perfect for our walking tours around Venice. It was close to the main canal and many of the tourist points. The room was modern and clean. The ambience cor us was great, allowing us to wake up to the morning chatter and singing of local store holders opening their shops and stalls. There was the option of... More

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
