I had lovely two night stay. My room was overlooking the small canal at the front of the hotel. The weather was very warm so stopped off in the middle of the day for downtime. It was a lovely respite with the gondoliers passing by, singing and chatting. The breakfast was your average Italian fare but nothing to rave about.... More

This is a great little hotel, close enough to all the major sites but out of the way enough to be quiet and comfortable in a building which has been very well refurbished whilst keeping many original features. The room we had (302) on the third floor was large, comfortable and spacious with a well fitted en-suite and a view... More

All our dreams about Venice came true in the Hotel dell'Opera. Not only is it on one of the smaller canals next to a little bridge, but we were lucky enough to stay in one of the opulently large canal view rooms where we were serenaded by the gondoliers each day! The location of the hotel is very convenient, close... More

Great location, easy access to anywhere in venice, one block from the really busy streets. Staff was really helpfull, from giving directions on how to get to the hotel, advising on rsstaurants etc. our room was quite big with 2 windowsn facing the canal, bathroom was ok, renovated. The bad thing was that the kitchen was right next to our... More

Upgraded to large room right off the bat. Service was professional and courteous Very nice breakfast. Loved our room - will request next time. Right in the middle of everything-but be aware you will have to lug your bags across bridges and steps in Venice - roller bags don't work - pack light. Highly recommend

Modern, clean, VERY roomy by anyone's standards. It's very close to where you want to be. The front desk was very very helpful and accommodating, helping us get out the door at 3am to catch our flight. They delivered food and coffee to our room and arranged for a courier to help with our luggage. By the way--get one of... More

We stayed for 2 days at this hotel in a very nice family room. The hotel was a bit difficult to find (even after asking a couple of locals) but once we found it we weren't disappointed. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful. The room was large, clean and well air-conditioned. The only downside we found was... More

From the moment of our arrival to the Hotel dell'Opera, we loved everything about this hotel - the staff, location, bedroom, bath & AC! Room overlooking the canal was priceless! Walking directions from airport boat to the hotel could be improved.

This hotel was very central - we could walk to Rialto bridge, St Marks and other well known areas in 5-6 minutes. We stayed in Venice for 3 nights and bought the 72 hr ticket on the vaparetto but to be honest we were so close to everything that it was easier just to walk rather than waiting around for... More

Had a brilliant stay at this hotel, I took trip advisors advice on booking it and was not disappointed. My boyfriend and I went for three days on a budget trip and the hotel was everything we could ask for. The rooms were Venetian but with a modern edge, the bathrooms were exquisite and the air con was the best... More
