This is a great little hotel in a pretty central location on a beautiful quiet little square. Nice cafe and newspaper stand in the centre of the square and easily accessible for most of the places you want to visit. The staff are amazing and helpful. Great for bed and breakfast only

We stayed here recently and loved it! Hotel is a great location a short walk to Rialto bridge. Directions on website need a bit of updating but we did find the place eventually. Room was excellent, great bed, excellent wifi and large room and bathroom. Attention to detail was excellent!

This was our first visit to Venice, and based on what we had read, we were expecting some difficulty navigating around. Upon arrival in Venice and at Rialto (we took the waterbus), it took us a good 25 mins to actually find Ruzzini and although it does not look grande from the outside, inside is a totally different story. It... More

A fantastic hotel in a great location, friendly and welcoming reception staff. We had a room on the top floor overlooking the square. Breakfast was of a high standard with good variety. Wished they had a evening restaurant, as the food we sampled in local restaurants in the area was not good. Overall a great hotel with fantastic features. Would... More

Great hotel with excellent staff. Concierge service and all staff are very helpful. Breakfast is nice enough as well. The building itself is charming and has character because of its age. They have a private canal entrance and for a good price they can organise a private boat trip around Venice which picks you up & drops you off right... More

We were at the Ruzzini Palace from January the 8th to the 12th. It is a wonderful hotel. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a junior suite with a lovely view over the square. The location is great and it is an easy short walk to St Marks and Rialto bridge. All the staff were very friendly and... More

As i am a light sleeper, i find that there is not much soundproof in the room hence can hear noices outside in the morning. Overall, it is still... More

Dear Guest , thank you for your lovely review; we inform you that all of our rooms are soundproofed but, remember thatr in Venice there is no traffic and with a deep silince in town it' s easy to hear only a simple voice of a person walking in the square...Anyway, thank you for recommending our Hotel and we do... Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
