We booked a room at Domina Home Ca Zusto from 6 April to 8 April for our honeymoon in Italy. Surrounding: We got lost trying to find the hotel upon arrival due to unfamiliarity with the area. It was located at a quite area where there were not much people passing by. Checking In: It was quick and easy. The... More

Due to a mix-up with our booking at another hotel, we were moved here for our second night in Venice. We really enjoyed staying here: the staff are excellent and could not be more helpful and friendly. Nice size room, beautifully decorated. Great shower. There is a lovely communal area on the first floor. Good breakfast. The only downside to... More

My room was at the corner on the first floor of the hotel. Forget trying to sleep in, you'll get foot traffic around the corner of the room. The bed had a very thin blanket, coming from California, it was a bit cold for me. The staff was nice enough to provide extra blanket. Overall stay was a good experience.

We stayed this hotel for 2 days and had a wonderful memory in Venice. Great location nearby train station(20mins walk to San Marco Square), clean and spacious room, helpful staff, the best breakfast and more. This is definitely more than 4 star hotel (worth 5 star). Would visit there again !!!

Domina Ca Zusto is a wonderful place to stay. They also sent us directions on how to get there. There is a vaporetto stop within a few minutes walk as well as quaint little restaurants and bakeries. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The individuals at the front desk were extremely helpful. They helped with the printing of our boarding... More

We were truly grateful for such a wonderful stay at Domina Home Ca' Zusto. The hotel sent us directions before our stay and it only took about 10 mins to reach it by foot from the bus station. On arrival, we were welcomed by a very friendly concierge who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, recommending sights to see and... More

A bit difficult to find but absolutely worth it. They are also close to a waterbus stop. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Typical Italian breakfast, quiet hotel, convienient location, close to train and many great restaurants. Would stay again!

We actually visited this hotel 5 years ago but I've never forgotten it and felt the need to leave a review. On arrival we were welcomed and treated to an upgrade. The breakfast (which I feel is so important) was lovely and that is often hard to come by in Italian hotels. The staff were lovely and the room was... More

Ok, first the not so good thing about hotel, it is difficult to find though it is very near to station but it's fact it is nothing easy for a tourist to find in Venice. Don't get scared that's how that city is. Wi-fi was available on first floor only. Well about staff , I could spend hours and hours... More

Staying in Santa Croce

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighborhood identity.
