This hotel is obviously very cute with the modern décor, but it is also very clean and comfortable. WiFi is only available in the lounge/breakfast area, but it is very nice in there, so I didn't mind that. It is in an area where locals live, so it was nice to get that perspective. The only negative is the location.... More

Ok so it's a tad pricey, but I guess thats just Venice. There are so many places to stay in there, at such wildly variable prices, it took us a long time to choose... But look no further! In the end we blew the budget a little and went for Domina Home Ca' Zusto - we were not disappointed. We... More

Hotel is located very close to railway station.... Room was very clean and tidy.... Roomy as well considering the space constraints in venice.... Staff were helpful.... Breafast was of continental cuisine.... Was good but could have been better if they add more varieties.... Stayed there for 5 nights.... Made our honeymoon like a dream which we would cherish for ever....

Great location close to most things, but still a lovely quiet retreat in a crowded city. The rooms are smaller but you don't really spend much time there. The breakfast is excellent, eggs and prosciutto are the highlights but the coffee and cappuccinos are worth mentioning too. The only thing that could be better is some people might want to... More

Though we had a hard time finding the place upon arrival into Venice around 9pm, once we did find the hotel and learned our way around, the hotel turned out to be in a great location. The Grand Canal is right down the street - and a few steps further along to the left are stops for 3 waterbus lines.... More

We stayed at the Domina Home Ca'Zusto overnight prior to a cruise and could not have been any happier with our experience. The room was wonderful and clean, the location is only a block or so away from the vaporetto stop, the complimentary breakfast was really great, and the staff are friendly, fluent in English, and unbelievably accommodating. They even... More

The hotel is perfectly located, within easy reach of transport and main attractions. The hotel itself was full of character, clean and staff extremely helpful. Local to the hotel is a square with various restaurants, and plenty of locals enjoying the food and wine etc, always a nice atmosphere... Make sure you visit Al Procesco to sit and enjoy the... We have stayed here a few years ago and had such a great time we decided to stay here again. It was just as good if not better than before. The staff were fantastic and helpful in every way. The location just perfect - close tho transport but quiet at night away from the mad crowds. We came in by... More

Staying in Santa Croce

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighborhood identity.
