I am writing this review in my room at Hotel Albergo Verdi. The room is tiny with two small beds, but it is well appointed and classy. I am happy with the hotel, the breakfast and the great staff. There is a plaza just outside the hotel that is a two minute walk from Piazza die Signori and the Saturday... More

This is a small hotel that treats guests like human beings, not transactions. Staff was kind, friendly, and helpful. They gave us great dining suggestions. Rooms were clean. Breakfast/tea area smelled like yummy herb tea. Great, central location. Would stay here again.

I and my girlfriend go at this hotel once every year since 2008 and - after more than 5 years this place still rocks like the first time. The hotel is small (15 rooms or so), so it feels kind of warm and friendly, which is definitely a plus. It's also right in the city centre, at 1 minute walk... More

A small hotel in the heart of the centro storico perfect for a short city break as within a short walk of the sites. Very helpful staff, decent size room ,clean & comfortable . good breakfast. Bus stop round the corner as is the best gelateria in town. Severak good restaurants within 5 minute walk

Happy to read your review and your compliments (and glad you loved the ice cream shop that we've recommended: La Romana is also our favorite!) Best regards Paolo More

We were looking for somewhere to stay in Italy that we could get to both Venice and Verona in about half an hour by train. I had never heard of Padova or Padua before, and was not sure if it would be a good place to stop. Well we could not have picked a better place. I had found Albergo... More

Thanks a lot for your review. We're delighted that you loved Padova and our small hotel. Unfortunately, to speed up the check in and to give immediately each guest their room, we sometimes keep the passports at the reception for five minutes, but if someone prefers to have it back immediately, we're happy to give it. We hope to see... More

My wife and I stayed at this delightful hotel for one night last week (October 2013) No complaints at all about the staff or service. In fact the accommodation represented excellent value for money. We are part-time residents of Italy (5 - 6 months each year for the past 4 years) and choose to drive ourselves so that we can... More

Thanks for your opinion. Actually we don't recommend the garage Milano precisely for this reason (as well as the cost absurd!); the garage Barbarigo is much better. About the streets, unfortunately , 7 years after the changes of the directions, the gps aren't yet updated (althought we have repeatedly mentioned this to the manufacturers!). However, we try to provide the... More

We stayed here part-way through September, when the local area was starting to buzz with returning University students. Albergo Verdi has a great location in the old town, easily accessible by public transport from Padova station, though streets are a little confusing: we used bus #10, getting off on Corso Milano at the Teatro Verdi stop. The hotel is just... More

Dear Mrs Judy, thanks for what you wrote and for the appreciation of our work. I take this opportunity to add that the "University Wednesday" (mercoledì universitari) is an experience to live here in Padova; you have to try at least once! Paolo More

I loved our stay in Padova this Spring and it started with our choice of accomodation--Albergo Verdi. I would not say we are picky but we do demand a fair amount of attention from hotel management. Paolo and his staff were among the very best hosts my wife and I have experienced through 40 years of travel. They were so... More

Dear Mr David, I'm delighted to read your review; I remember with great pleasure your stay here (and with a lot of symoathy the "cappuccino" of your wife and your "cappuccino scuro", naturalmente!). We all hope that for your next trip in Italy you can come back to us. See you soon. Paolo More

Overall a very good hotel. Very good position in the old town. Nice breakfast, with plenty of condiments, lovely pastries and lovely coffee. Rooms are a little noisy from people coming and going, but if this doesn't bother you then it's ok. Note: no fridge in rooms, so if u stay for a while this could be a problem.

Easy walk into the centre of Padua, but on a quiet street. Exceptional breakfast for the price. Friendly english- speaking reception staff. Some rooms have compact bathroom. Recommended. Suggest taking a 9 euro taxi from the station if arriving by train.(Nothing more to say really but the app will no accept a review with fewer than 200 characters)
