We used Padua as a base to see Verona and Milan. This hotel is close to the tram stop that takes you to the station, and close enough for a good walking tour of the historic areas. Padua is a beautiful town and has a large student population, so there were lots of young people near the university and in... More

We stayed at Hotel Al Santo for one night in July 2014. The highlight of our stay was the friendly, English-speaking woman at the front desk. She was so welcoming and used the map to help us plan our visit all around town. We took the tram from the train station to the Santo stop and then walked a couple... More

We stayed two nights in Hotel Al Santo. It is very conveniently located, just a short walk from the tram stop and one block from the gorgeous Basilica of St. Anthony. The street is quiet and near shops and restaurants...and a 10 minute walk in the other direction from the Basilica takes you to the University of Padua and the... More

Padua is often overlooked and tourist mostly go to Venice. But Padua is a real gem and worth a separate visit. Al Santo is located exceptionally well: just outside the crowded city centre but close enough to walk (10 min), next to the basilica and only 3 tram stops from the train station and the chapel with Giotto's works. The... More

very close to cathedral, only 2 blocks from tram. taxi is about 10 euros, but trams easy to get if you can drag luggage 2 blocks. staff speaks great english, willing to offer suggestions. breakfast is superior, as much as you want. value excellent, 85 euros for nice room, on may6-8. elevator--something venice doesn't have !

Great location right within short walking distance to all the sites. On a busy side street but most of the rooms face a different direction and have a great view of the Basilica. Basic rooms but not here for luxury but for location. Padua was great. Nice breakfast. Excellent family run service.

We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights and enjoyed it. Location is excellent, it is close to all the sights. Padova itself is easy to walk around and quite safe even at night. We really liked our room with view to Sant Anthony. Bed was comfortable. Only critism would be the bathroom which is a bit of small and... More

Perfect place to stay, and good restaurant in the same house with living fire. Best food: liver with onions. Pizzas very yes. Great wines. And try limon gelato with applepie. - The house must be old, it is so charming and it is very clean. - On the street: look at the stones, so nicely put for you to walk,... More

The hotel management and staff are the making of this hotel. They are friendly, helpful and informative. The hotel itself is very central about 100 yards from St Antony's Basillica. It is a family run hotel and this comes across with the care and attention that the family give all their clients. The restaurant which is attached to the hotel... More

We were told when we arrived that Valentina had overbooked and that we might have to double up for the last 2 days of our 10 day stay. We had made reservations over 3 months in advance! I explained to Antonio in Italian that this was not acceptable because we did not know each other well enough to share a... More
