My wife and I were traveling for business and pleasure for the first time in Padua, Italy. Our experience was elevated to another level by the proactive customer service upon arrival. (Marzia Gaspari - directions, maps, restaurants, sights, suggestions) We enjoyed the location which was an easy walk to a number of shopping options and points of interest. We were... More

First of all I concern that it is not a 4 star hotel but a 2/3 star one. I with my wife booked a standard room at Methis hotel for 1 night. Hotel is located not in the center but in the 15 minutes from it. Do not believe to photos in their site. Standard room was awful. When we... More

This hotel was exactly what we needed for our five night stay in Padua. Comfortable, super-helpful staff, room with a view, easy walking access to central Padua. We were sorry to leave. Minor quibbles: (1) they need a couple more power outlets, (2) initially the hotel's free wi-fi didn't work in our top floor room, however, they quickly installed a... More

We arrived late on a cold winter evening. The receptionist cum bell boy cum telephone operator etc was stressed up checking in our team of 5 persons . The rooms needed a make over ,the carpets were old ,the bathrooms requires refurbishment. The small dinning hall served decent breakfast. For dinner one has to walk for 10mins to the village,... I have stayed at the Methis numerous times over the past three years; in that time, I have noticed that the rooms have become more worn with each visit. I really like this space, and with just a little more attention, it could be a really nice hotel. But I've experienced missing tiles in the bathtub/shower, dirty carpet, banged up... More

I had a brief one night stay here in December 2013 (room 109). The smallish room was clean and decently lit, and had a reasonable shower. However the bed had a very hard mattress, and my solitary request to staff (for a second pillow for the bed) was ignored. The receptionist was helpful and spoke good English. Overall, so-so.

We arrived late afternoon by chauffeur from Venice airport - flash eh? - and we're greeted by a unusually large very friendly Italian man who checked us in with ease then escorted us to the bar for chilled bottles of Birra Moretti and nibbles, what a start. The 15 minute walk from their location of zona riviera is picturesque as... More

Over the last 4 years I have stayed at the Methis in excess of 150 nights. I always have a clean room, a smile from the staff and any other help that I need. The location is perfect to explore the old part of the city and the fact that they have parking is a huge plus. I have brought... More

I stayed at Methis last July as a last stop in my 20 days trip to Italy. The location is great: át. Zona Riviera, 15 minutes walking from downtown. Each floor is decorated with a theme; earth, water, etc rooms are charming, although mine was facing a parking lot, which was very disappointing as we had asked for one with... More

Despite the ageing decor of the hotel, this landmark remains the best hotel in town. Comfy beds, attentive staff, wonderful position near the center of Padova. If you arrive by car, the parking is plenty of space. You can also have a bite or a snack if you are tired. And the theme floors make your stay different if you... More
