The pro's: -I liked the lady who was at the reception when we arrived, it was a short hair blonde lady who was the best! She helped me to get in the parking lot and she always smiled. - The parking of the hotel is large enough for any car you may have ( I had a SUV) but you... More

Like Montes Pension, this hotel is also in a great location. Across the square is the Basilica St. Antonio and many older structures.Rooms are well maintained, good breakfast to start the day many things to see. We stayed 3 nights could have stayed 3 more easily.

Very good position but what a depressing hotel. They really need to brighten it up. We left as it was too depressing and came to Vincenzo instead. As I said it is very good position but not very nice. The staff very polite.

We have never stayed in such an appalling hotel. The air conditioning is like being in a tractor shed. The shower is little more than a dribble. The staff are less than helpful and one loses one's nerve about asking for help. The wifi did not work and one almost get the impression that it is our fault and stupidity... More

Located in the old town of Padua in front of the Basilica di San Antonio a real good address to explore this city of saints and scientists! The reception speaks english, a real good coffea is served for breakfast!

The location of this hotel may make it a challenge to find but we had no problem with our sat nav. Take the advice not to book parking unless driving a small car, we got into the underground parking but needed a little help to get out. That said the staff were VERY helpful. To be able to look across an Italian... I stayed at the Donatello with my 3 sisters in March this year. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms, though a little dated, were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast were varied and tasty. The Donatello is well positioned in the historical centre of Padua We took a bus from Marco... More

This was a first class hotel in the very best part of town. The staff was warm, friendly, and spoke perfect English. They even helped me with my not so great Italian. The room was spotlessly clean, more spacious than usual for European hotels, and ours overlooked the basilica, so beautiful. Breakfast was abundant, fresh, and diverse. It is a... More

We stayed at Hotel Donatello in Padova unexpectedly after a mixup with our reservation at another hotel. One will immediately view the Basilica Sant'Antonio once stepping out of the hotel. The advantage of the hotel is that it is a pleasant walking distance to Prato Della Valle , Palazzo Della Ragione, and the lively Piazza dei Signori. Although the hotel's... More

We love Padua and more so after our recent stay in Hotel Donatello.Superb location,a cosy traditional style hotel a good example of warm Italian hospitality. Charming, professional but friendly and helpful staff all spoke English. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable as was the ensuite bathroom.
