The desk clerk was totally unhelpful and unable to answer simple queries (she kept advising us to ask at the tourist office next day). There was no laundry service and no bar. Breakfast was poor. We stayed at the Donatello with a group of friends in October 2003. Many of the rooms had no view and no light and their decoration was sad and outdated. Breakfast room and lobby were unpleasant. Staff was helpful. If you decide to stay there be sure to ask for a room facing the Piazza. more

This is a wonderful hotel. The staff is terrific -- friendly and helpful. The location is perfect if you are interested in the Bascilica of Saint Anthony and just as good for exploring the rest of the city. We love it! more
