Al Fagiano was in a good location, the room was clean and beautiful with colorful decoration and some art objects. We did not eat breakfast. The famous basilica is almost on the other side of the street. There is restaurant in the same building with hotel the name is Al Fagiano too, we ate there pasta that was average, not... More

The hotel itself is quite nice, and well deserves its "Art Hotel" name. There are works of art in the rooms and in the corridors. It's very close to Sant'Antonio, and a nice walk to the Palazzo and other attractions. The rooms are clean and cosy, with room service every day. Unfortunately, you can hear the staff and the other... More

They have red, blue, white and orange rooms. Each room is decorate with a specific color. We asked to see what a white room and a blue room looked like. So the artist/owner of the hotel showed us one of each and we picked white. That was cool. Great location. Some folks with us were uncomfortable with the strong presence... More

I never got tired of looking at the whimsical, 3 dimensional artwork throughout the hotel. The artwork looked a little dusty, which made me anxious at first, but the room and bathroom were spotless. The breakfast was good and the location was great, about a mile from one end of the historic district to the other, easily accessible by tram if... More

Unique decor, great location, friendly staff. Three important features for lodging choices. Each room provides a different theme and adds to the fun of actually 'being in Padua'. Close to the bus/tram so convenient access. Close to St Anthony's, Prato Della Valle and easy walking to many other wonderful sites, including the not to be missed Scrovegni Chapel. Desk staff... Close to san Antonio but a bit of a walk to the rest of the action. Good size rooms, well kept and a reasonable rate. If your a modern art lover your going to love this. The elevator has been plastered, so anybody can add their own graffiti! parking available

We stayed just for one night on our way from Switzerland to Venice. Although we had a bit of difficulty finding the street, the staff could not have been more helpful and ran out into the street to guide us to the hotel and into its private parking area. The location is perfect and very central and the rooms are... More

My main complaint about this conveniently located, family-run hotel is the room. I can live with "worn" if the price is right; but the bedding covers, throw pillows and the stuffed chair looked soiled (I would not sit on the chair). The bathroom was clean, as was the rest of the room. The staff were helpful. Breakfast was fine. The highly-touted... More

We really enjoyed our stay with Al Fagiano. Our room was large and furnished in a very interesting manner. The whole experience is unique with the usual art and room decorations. Good location near a tram stop. Watch out for pickpockets on the tram. Nice breakfast and the people were very helpful in picking a restaurant.

We spent three nights at Al Fagiano in January 2013, and enjoyed it very much. Our rooms had a wonderful view of the fabulous basilica of St Anthony (try and visit it for Sunday mass - amazing choral singing: we thought it was a recording at first) and the hotel is an easy walk to the centre of Padova, with...
