Unique decor, great location, friendly staff. Three important features for lodging choices. Each room provides a different theme and adds to the fun of actually 'being in Padua'. Close to the bus/tram so convenient access. Close to St Anthony's, Prato Della Valle and easy walking to many other wonderful sites, including the not to be missed Scrovegni Chapel. Desk staff... Close to san Antonio but a bit of a walk to the rest of the action. Good size rooms, well kept and a reasonable rate. If your a modern art lover your going to love this. The elevator has been plastered, so anybody can add their own graffiti! parking available

We stayed just for one night on our way from Switzerland to Venice. Although we had a bit of difficulty finding the street, the staff could not have been more helpful and ran out into the street to guide us to the hotel and into its private parking area. The location is perfect and very central and the rooms are... More

My main complaint about this conveniently located, family-run hotel is the room. I can live with "worn" if the price is right; but the bedding covers, throw pillows and the stuffed chair looked soiled (I would not sit on the chair). The bathroom was clean, as was the rest of the room. The staff were helpful. Breakfast was fine. The highly-touted... More

We really enjoyed our stay with Al Fagiano. Our room was large and furnished in a very interesting manner. The whole experience is unique with the usual art and room decorations. Good location near a tram stop. Watch out for pickpockets on the tram. Nice breakfast and the people were very helpful in picking a restaurant.

We spent three nights at Al Fagiano in January 2013, and enjoyed it very much. Our rooms had a wonderful view of the fabulous basilica of St Anthony (try and visit it for Sunday mass - amazing choral singing: we thought it was a recording at first) and the hotel is an easy walk to the centre of Padova, with... We stayed in Padova for a day coming from Venice and then moved on to Bologna. The hotel has its very own unique quirky artistic style - like it or not, but it's very original indeed! We enjoyed the artworks and decoration both in the rooms and in the reception area. Wi-Fi is free and works well. We used the... More

We stayed here for 10 days. Each room is unique and had funky art work. Staff was helpful and kind. The breakfast was basic continental fare but always good. Walking distance from st Anthony's basilica and the Prato Della Valle. Highly recommended.

We pre-booked the Hotel Al Fagiano for a 2 night stay so we could visit the Capella Scrovegni and a day trip to Venice. We arrived by train and as we had pre-purchased the Padua Card, it was very easy to catch the tram just outside the train station to the hotel. This hotel is also ideally suited for a... More
