This hotel was chosen because of its location near the train station but it is not a very pleasant location but still convenient. The hotel is fairly basic but fine for a stay in Padova with a ten minute walk to the town. The area around the hotel is a little rough but not an issue. The rooms are basic... More

The hotel is less than 2 minutes walk from the train station so very convenient if that is your mode of arrival. The surrounding neighborhood was not the mosty attractive. The lobby and corridors show a bit of age, but the bedroom and bathroom were the largest we encountered on our trip, with a king bed and a double sink,... More

I think some of the negative reviews are quite misplaced. We found the hotel staff to be attentive and our room clean and comfortable. It is across the street from the train station. As in most other Italian cities, there are some foreign youth who live in the less expensive area of the station, but this is normal and not... More

We stayed in this hotel during our Italian trip, hotel is nice, staff are efficient & friendly, but, you can't just go out the front door & enjoy the sites, the restaurants or the shopping, you can walk about 15 minutes up the road to that but you wouldn't feel safe walking back

weve just enjoyed a fabulous four night stay and everything was above expectations. The room was of average size with a firm but very comfortable king bed and large bathroom. The location is ideal for public transport and it's only a short walk into the central historic area of town. It's worth staying here just for the breakfast - assorted... More

Hotel is centrally located ..a short walk to historic district and across street from train station. Venice may be reached in 30 minutes and the cities of Vicenza, Verona, Ferrara are less than one hour by train. The Brenta Canal cruise departs very nearby. Service was universally spectacular from all personnel. Scrogveni Chappela is reached in a ten minute walk.

We were at Grand’Italia hotel in April 2015. Location of the hotel is absolutely logistical. Just across the train station might not be the very best neighborhood, but, if you choose Padova to visit Venice to save money on hotel, then, it is the very best place to be. Hotel prices in Venice are outrages, while the Venice Mestre (another... More

honestly I would have expected more. The building is very nice on the outside, but inside quite uncared for. A 4-star can not "fix" the license to put in the lobby the Iift plate tiping upsidedown an "L" to arrange a "T". My room was clean, quite ancient but not"vintage" The location is real in front of the main station... More

I do not kno where to begin: probably with the location, next to the main station, loud and full of recent immigrants and refugees - one of whom relieved himself in front of the lobby. The staff did not care a bit. The room had ants - yes, ants - crawling on the desk. Room WiFi? Sure! But sorry no... More

We stayed 2 nights here. Literally 1 minute from train station. Great choice. Would stay here again. Excellent breakfast. Charming old hotel. Friendly service. All good.. no complaints whatsoever. Padova ia an amazing place to stay. 2 nights is not enough... ancient history and footsteps everywhere. Gorgeous
