Where can one find an immaculate room in a superb location for less than $40 a night? True, I chose an "economy room," meaning that the bathroom was across the hall, the room had no view, and the decor was spartan. But I was busy at meetings and sight-seeing anyway, co coming back to a clean and comfortable room was... more

Stayed here 2 nights with large family in three rooms, Padua/Padova is a very interesting city , some fantastic architecture and well worth visiting. The hotel is parallel to St Anthony`s and is an excellent place to stay, rooms are quite and very clean and the staff very helpfull. We where travelling around the Veneto region staying in Venice,Treviso and... more

As a single traveller, I have stayed in several religious houses. My visit in Padova began with a 30 min stroll from the train station to the House - a very pleasant introduction to the bustling town. My room in the annex was incredibly quiet and the bed afforded a comfortable nights rest. Room/bathroom was clean and well kept. Very... more

I traveled with my son after his Study Abroad semester. We loved our three day stay in Padua and Casa del Pellegrino was perfect lodging. Our twin room was huge, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Though decorated simply it was far superior to American lodging one finds away from big cities and a great value. Breakfast was a... more

We had a double room in the main building, 1st floor, with basic comfort (2 stars) and very austere decoration (St Anton oblige!) – for the price of a 4* in Rimini or St Paul de Vence (ie 95 €/night – breakfast not included!). The noisy air conditioning machine was in the court just in front of our windows (even... more

We stayed here for three nights on our two week Italy trip. If your expectations are that of a 2 star hotel (which this is), then you will enjoy your stay. On the plus side the rates were affordable and the room was very large. Our room actually had beds for 5, with plenty of room for our bags and... more

My friend and I stayed here 3 nights so we could travel easily into Venice. The staff were very friendly and helpful (although most do not speak enough English to get their meaning across). The rooms were cleaned daily but the beds were were uncomfortable and the shower was European style (drain in the bathroom floor). The internet was expensive. more

We stayed here because of it's close proximity to Venice. We had to get on a ship for a cruise the next morning in Venice. We wanted to stay near St. Anthony's and we really couldn't have stayed any closer, I don't think. It was literally right across the street. Parking was good, room was clean and large, but the... more
