This refuge is a MUST stop for anyone hiking the TMB! Amazing, jaw-droppingly gorgeous views that are simply mesmerizing. Simple wholesome food. Accommodations are basic but comfortable. Family who runs it was helpful and friendly.,Well worth the uphill slog!!

This was by far the best refuge we stayed at on our Tour du Mont Blanc. The refuge seemed newly renovated with beautiful wooden beams and paneling throughout. We stayed in a spacious dormitory room with plenty of room between people (7 total), comfortable beds, and shelving to keep our ruck sacks neatly out of the way. The staff was... More

Loved it here , the best refuge we visited . A lovely warm welcome and an escort to your room . Great food . Views to die for ! The breakfast was so well organised it went like clockwork . The place was spotless . The showers were great . You just needed to be organised and ready before you... More

More like a hotel than a refuge. A must stop on the Tour Mont Blanc. The staff are wonderful, warm and friendly. Clean and great food for after a hike. Location is great. All you need is to hope for good weather. Even the dormitories are almost separate beds and spacious compared to the other Refugio's on the TMB.

The place looks very new inside. We stayed in a 2 person room (dorms were full when we booked). Excellent sleep quality! The food was amazing - the taste, the presentation and the quantity - you can always ask for more if you're still hungry! And their chocolate drink is awesome! Breakfast was also one of the best we had... More

THis Rifugio is purpose built and it meets the needs of hikers perfectly. We booked ahead and had a lovely twin room with a view straight out to the Grande Jorasses. The Rifugio is very well organised and the staff are very efficient friendly and very helpful. There are lots of nice extras in the building like interesting pictures photographs... More

This was probably the best refuge I stayed in on my Tour de Mont Blanc trek this summer. The place was busy and full, but the WC was clean, the showers available, and the rooms very clean. I stayed in a triple. The food was also good and offered a variety. Great place!

We use the Refuge Bonatti for our clients who book on our trekking holidays in particular on the Tour du Mont Blanc. The feedback we have received from our clients this summer has been great... it has a fantastic location with amazing views, good facilities, friendly helpful service and lovely food. It is an amazing place , if you are... More

Unlike some of the accommodation we stayed in on the TMB, Rifugio Bonatti was comfortable even when operating near full capacity. Others have described the many ways it delights, so I'll just add a note about the showers, which are unlimited in time but very limited in hot water. If you run hot water full blast, you'll use up your... More

All the positive reviews on this page speak for themselves, but my personal favorite things: 1. The drying room. Amazing. How do other refuges not have this? It's just a tiny room with lots of heaters and clotheslines, our clothes were warm and toasty by morning. 2. The shower system. The token system is genius, and is a great way... More
