Rifugio Bonatti is set in a wonderful location looking over to the mountains and glaciers. We had an enjoyable stay here and it is a very well set out refuge, one of the best on the TMB I would say. The refuge was fully booked for the night we stayed and whilst we had booked weeks in advance all of... More

One of the most enjoyable rifugios along the TMB. Dorms and rooms available whatever your budget, dorms were large but very spacious. Very modern inside. Food, drinks and refreshments available are excellent and the staff friendly and helpful.

While hiking the TMB this was a scheduled stop. We had a relatively short hike this day arriving at 1pm but check in wasn't until around 2. We had a delicious cup of soup and just relaxed outside soaking up the sun and the magnificent views. Despite the number of people staying here the service was excellent. We were not... More

IMHO this is the best refuge on the entire TMB. We had a private room. The room was amazing for a refuge. Pretty much hotel quality. The dinning area is also very nice. The dinner was excellent. The showers were clean and the water hot. The views from here are amazing. You could spend all day just watching the scenery.

This was the best rifugio on our hike of the Tour of Mont Blanc. Don't miss staying here if you hike the TMB. It has spectacular views, excellent food, upscale rooms for a rifugio. The staff was very professional, too. Book a private room. Ours was spacious and very clean. The showers were also the nicest we encountered.

Stayed for 1 night. Food was excellent. Very warm welcoming people. Room was clean and nice, with a view. Shared showers, not a lot of hot water (using coins), but thats the mountains. We loved it there!

Refugio Bonatti is a fairly new, privately run, true European-style refuge located on the southern side of the Val Ferrret, a day’s hike east of Courmayeur and southwest of La Fouly, along the TMB. It is a no-frills backcountry lodge providing a variety of room arrangements from doubles, to group rooms, as well as a dormitory area. Our booking was... More

This is a high quality refuge with dorm and private rooms. The food is reasonably good, the coffee better. If staying, take the Demi-pension option. It is best to book, and essential in peak periods as it is popular with TMB hikers. Fantastic views and hot timed showers. Tip - sit near the large porcelain fireplace.

I know it's a refugio, and my expectations are accordingly, but I stayed in better places. The dorms are clean and comfortable. The stuff was very unkind, not much helpful. The hot water in the public showers was operated by a coin that gave hot water for a minute. Not enough after a day of an outdoor intense activity. When... More
