Clean, comfy rooms, though I found the beds to not be of superior quality as everything else was. Food was 5 star. Everything aesthetic and delicious! Lovely views. Decor so tasteful and interesting. Spa lovely and relaxing after a day of skiing. Everyone so friendly and helpful. Wonderful sitting lounge with fireplace. Wi-frustrating - u have to re-log in every... More

During our recent two-week visit to Italy we had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Mayr in Castelrotto for three (3) nights. From a review of their website we expected a clean hotel with good meals and a great location in the Dolomites. We were not disappointed. Upon arrival we were led to rooms 132 and 133 which, as we... Having holidayed in the hotel Mayr in summer and availed of the walking on the Alpe di Siusi, (suitable for non-expert walkers), we were delighted to return recently and were welcomed back by the Management and staff of the hotel. The hotel and area continued to impress. Food was superb. Some might prefer a dinner menu selection, but we were... More

My husband and I were on our way back to Munich after a wine tasting trip in France and Italy and decided to stop in Castelrotto, Italy for two nights. We researched hotels there and decided to stay at Hotel Mayr because of the beautiful website. The hotel was even more lovely than the pictures. We were told upon arrival... More

My Sister and I visited Castlerotto in 2010 and discovered the Hotel Mayr during our visit. We decided immediately that this was the Hotel we would like to return to in 2011. Without a doubt it lived up to all our expectations and more. The staff were excellent and we could not let a mention of Irelanda pass - she... More

This was our second stay at Hotel Mayr and it was just as good as the first three years ago. The hotel is in the lovely old town of Castelrotto (Kastelruth) at the foot of the largest alpine meadow in Europe. It is situated a five minute walk from the town centre and from the bus station. We were greeted... More

This is a very nice clean quiet hotel with a difference. The room rate includes a five course dinner as well as full breakfast. The cuisine was delicious and and made our stay that much more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay if you are in the area. The staff are friendly and... More

In February 2010 we spent some days in this beautiful hotel, warmly and greatly managed by the family Mayr. Everything was fine, the service excellent and the cuisine above our expectations. Higlly recommendable! PS We went to Castelrotto for skiing purposes. The hotel's position is 15 minutes away by bus (free) from the Siusi cableway start.

Our family of 7 stayed at Hotel Mayr in July 2008. Booking was easy via the internet/email. The hotel is conveniently located in Kastelruth about 5 minutes walk from the centre of the town and the bus station. Reception is friendly and efficient and the rooms are clean and well kept. Our room overlooked the mountains and fields. The dining... More
