This town is definitely German. Do not be fooled by Mussolini's renaming the town Castellrotto. Everyone speaks German, most of the guests are German. It is spotless (town and hotel) and much more free of bad development than many of the Dolomite towns in the more Italian portions. The bathroom is modern and immaculate.
