Hotel Wolf is a beautyful hotel right in center of the georgous town Castelrotto in the Dolomites. Higly recommended! The rooms are new, spacious and very clean, food and the service is excellent and the price is right. The hotel is owned by a young engish speaking couple, who are very friendly and helpful in any kind. It made us... more

The hotel is in a great location, but the customer service is quite bad. Our room was OK for the price ($140 Euro/night), and the breakfast was as expected. We had been told that they accepted credit cards, but when we went to check out the desk clerk indignatly told us they would only take cash. You can image that... more

Spent one night at the Hotel Zum Wolf on June 22, 2008. The room was large and very clean with a large bathroom. The hotel is owned and operated by a young couple who are very nice. Our rental car was acting up and the wife told us that her husband would take a look at the car. He offered... more

Following Rick Steves advice, we visit a picturesque village of Castelorotto in Italian Dolomites region. We made reservations in advance at the Hotel Zum Wolf - al Lupo. I communicated with staff via e-mail provided on their web site. They always responded promptly in good English. We were asked to arrive before 5 pm. As always, we got slightly lost... more

This place is great. The location is perfect. We arrived in Bolzano and took a bus to Castelrotto. The bus stop is right behind the hotel. Perfect location. The hotel is across from a market and a pretzel/bakery. The owners are very nice and the breakfast was the best we had in Italy. Our room was spacious and clean. The... more

Hotel Zum Wolf was one the very best places we stayed in during a three-week vacation in France, Switzerland, Italy and Germany. The Frau was very helpful, knew what information would be important to us, and critically, her information was totally accurate. The breakfast was excellent, the rooms outstanding, and the location was absolutely perfect. We used their car park... more

Hotel Zum Wolf (al Lupo) is right in the heart of Castelrotto, a gorgeous town in the Alto Adige region of the Dolomites: [""]. The hotel/B&B is spectacular from the outside with a gorgeous painted facade, and they even have many parking spaces for your car for free. Inside, you are greeted by beautiful woodwork everywhere you look, nice artwork... more

We Recently returned from a 5 night stay at Hotel Lupo in Castellrotto. Our room was very clean and comfortable . The hotel is operated by a young couple who are the current generation of the family that have owned the hotel for generations. They are gracious, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is a historic structure and it has been... more

This town is definitely German. Do not be fooled by Mussolini's renaming the town Castellrotto. Everyone speaks German, most of the guests are German. It is spotless (town and hotel) and much more free of bad development than many of the Dolomite towns in the more Italian portions. The bathroom is modern and immaculate. Food at the restaurant is excellent... more

We stayed one night at Hotel al Lupo in the Dolomomites. The hotel was clean and in a great location in the beautiful town of Castelrotto. We had a large double room with a large bathroom which included a bathtub. The breakfast was good with lots of selection - yogurt, fruit, cereal, bread, cheese, meat etc. The family that ran... more
