My friend and I, both older and with mobility issues, loved this hotel. It is in a small town on the church square. The town of Castelrotto/Kastelrulth is car free but you are allow to drive to the hotel and unload the car. The garage is a very short walk from the hotel and the parking is free for the... More

Everything about this hotel was great. All the people working at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. They gave suggestions for other restaurants and helped with getting Mail into the post. The room was spotless and comfortable with a bathroom large enough to please Americans. The food at dinner and breakfast was delicious. I didn't use the laundry... More

It all worked at this hotel, from the welcome to the checkout and everything in between. The owners are visible and friendly and charmingly modest about their hotel. However, it is obvious they have a well chosen team of professionals on board and a tried and successful formula at reception, in the bar, with the housekeeping and in the excellent... More

The Hotel Cavallino d'Oro is a gem in charming Castelrotto. The staff was so helpful and friendly too. We stayed three nights and decided to eat dinner in the hotel each night because it was very good and so convenient. We enjoyed their local wine pairings, too. If we ever come back to Castelrotto, we'll stay here again!

We have just returned (Sept. 2014) from our stay at The Cavallino d'Oro and we are already planning our trip back. The hotel itself is just charming with great warmth and ambiance and is located right in the center of a picture perfect little mountain town. Our room was tastefully decorated, clean, spacious and had a lovely patio with fantastic... More

We stayed here two nights based upon TA reviews. We expected a lot and they underwhelmed us. First of all the hotel is in an idyllic setting and the exterior is really well maintained and like a fairy tale. But that is where the magic ended for us. We were greeted in what was the least cordial manner thus far... More

Some of the best service we have ever had while traveling in Italy. The hotel was tastefully decorated and the staff was all very friendly, helpful and professional. We took them up on advice on hikes to do during our stay and were not disappointed. Breakfast was yummy with many different choices. We bought the breakfast/ dinner package on the... More

We loved this hotel. Our room, the bathroom. Spacious, clean, beautiful furnishings, comfy bed, great location! The breakfast was great and dinner at the restaurant was also very good. We look forward to another visit.

This was a wonderful hotel. The staff were very friendly and informative from the moment we walked in the door. The hotel was easy to find. The hotel was clean, nicely decorated, very warm, it felt more like we were visiting a friends home. It was very quiet, it only took a short time to get used to the bell... More

Although we did not stay at the Hotel Cavallino d'Oro on this trip, we did have the chance to visit there, and meet the delightful owner, Stefan. The absolutely gorgeous hotel enjoys a perfect location on the old town square, and while elegant and decorated to perfection, it is also exceptionally warm and welcoming. Beautiful flowers spill out from the... More
