Booked jr. Suite, room was spacious, large bath, and great patio. I can't say enough about this property and the outstanding service. This is a small hotel but a beautiful property. Breakfast was outstanding and restaurants suggested by staff were all good.we plan to return to Castlerotto and this wonderful property. We parked our car in the garage and took... More

Great little hotel near the main square in Kastelroth [aka Castelrotto]. The front desk [especially Susanna] staff were friendly and very helpful. They assisted us in getting to Alpe di Siusi, found out the lifts were closed, checked the weather, etc. The rooms were large with a sofa, chairs, nice big comfortable bed, balcony with nice view of town &... Mountain views, delicious breakfasts, comfy rooms and superfriendly hotel-owners and employees who made us feel welcome from the first minute - we had a wonderful time at the Cavallino d'Oro. The hotel has great character and a lot of history. But at the same time you find in the basement a lovely and state-of-art sauna. We are very much tempted... More

My wife and I stayed in this beautiful hotel for four nights at the beginning of June 2015. Suzanne and her staff are welcoming and very helpful, all of which made for a most enjoyable holiday, and one that you would hope would never end, and which you would hope to repeat someday. The hotel is meticulous, charming in its... More

Loved this hotel! Booked a room for just one night en route to Como but will stay longer next time. Excellent value for this lovingly kept place. Beautifully painted Tyrolean house with so many charming touches. Free parking in nearby garage (be sure to follow instructions at front desk and stay right in garage) Clean room with lovely balcony overlooking... More

Charming hotel in the center of Castelrotto. Our room was large and well furnished with plenty of storage and included a balcony with a good view of the mountains. Very nice public areas with a lot of Austrian character. Very helpful and friendly service. Washing machine and dryer available for guests. Did not see or use, but the hotel also... More

Wonderful Hotel in a wonderful part of Italy! We stayed here while we hiked and explored the Dolomites. Everything was perfect. Friendly staff, good food, comfortable bed and room, and the town is very simply charming. The mountains are spectacular and so much to do or nothing at all and just relax. Hope to return again and again.

Hotel Cavallino D'Oro is located in the centre of the beautiful village of Castelrotto. The establishment is absolutely charming, with an authentic historical feel. Our room was large, spotless, and beautifully decorated with Austrian-style furniture, typical of the region. It really has a ski-chalet ambience, but with all the modern conveniences. The service was excellent, and very professional. Even though... More

We've stayed here twice once without kids, once with. Both times were amazing. Suzanne and Stephan are the best hosts and the town is lovely. The rooms are very comfortable and the food is impeccable! We loved the location and everything about Cavallino D'Oro. We are planning our next visit in 2016 and cannot wait ! You won't be disappointed.

We stayed here as part of a ski safari. The town certainly has more to offer than I saw in online research - there's plenty of good restaurants, cafes, interesting boutique-style shops. The square and pedestrian area is particularly attractive. The Cavallino d'Oro is perfectly-presented and you can see the owners take real pride in their lovely hotel. The rooms... More
