Charming hotel in the center of Castelrotto. Our room was large and well furnished with plenty of storage and included a balcony with a good view of the mountains. Very nice public areas with a lot of Austrian character. Very helpful and friendly service. Washing machine and dryer available for guests. Did not see or use, but the hotel also... More

Wonderful Hotel in a wonderful part of Italy! We stayed here while we hiked and explored the Dolomites. Everything was perfect. Friendly staff, good food, comfortable bed and room, and the town is very simply charming. The mountains are spectacular and so much to do or nothing at all and just relax. Hope to return again and again.

Hotel Cavallino D'Oro is located in the centre of the beautiful village of Castelrotto. The establishment is absolutely charming, with an authentic historical feel. Our room was large, spotless, and beautifully decorated with Austrian-style furniture, typical of the region. It really has a ski-chalet ambience, but with all the modern conveniences. The service was excellent, and very professional. Even though... More

We've stayed here twice once without kids, once with. Both times were amazing. Suzanne and Stephan are the best hosts and the town is lovely. The rooms are very comfortable and the food is impeccable! We loved the location and everything about Cavallino D'Oro. We are planning our next visit in 2016 and cannot wait ! You won't be disappointed.

We stayed here as part of a ski safari. The town certainly has more to offer than I saw in online research - there's plenty of good restaurants, cafes, interesting boutique-style shops. The square and pedestrian area is particularly attractive. The Cavallino d'Oro is perfectly-presented and you can see the owners take real pride in their lovely hotel. The rooms... More

Arrived in May to a very empty town. From what we gathered, it was a summer and winter hotspot, but we came while even the locals were on holiday. Once we found hotel, we attempted to check in but they only spoke German so it wasn't going so well until another traveler walked by and stopped to help interpret. Thank... More

My friend and I, both older and with mobility issues, loved this hotel. It is in a small town on the church square. The town of Castelrotto/Kastelrulth is car free but you are allow to drive to the hotel and unload the car. The garage is a very short walk from the hotel and the parking is free for the... More

Everything about this hotel was great. All the people working at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. They gave suggestions for other restaurants and helped with getting Mail into the post. The room was spotless and comfortable with a bathroom large enough to please Americans. The food at dinner and breakfast was delicious. I didn't use the laundry... More

It all worked at this hotel, from the welcome to the checkout and everything in between. The owners are visible and friendly and charmingly modest about their hotel. However, it is obvious they have a well chosen team of professionals on board and a tried and successful formula at reception, in the bar, with the housekeeping and in the excellent... More

The Hotel Cavallino d'Oro is a gem in charming Castelrotto. The staff was so helpful and friendly too. We stayed three nights and decided to eat dinner in the hotel each night because it was very good and so convenient. We enjoyed their local wine pairings, too. If we ever come back to Castelrotto, we'll stay here again!
