The hotel is two buildings, as well as main building with reception and breakfast restaurant plus rooms, there is a second building right next door with freshly renovated rooms (April 2015). You can walk to town and there are also regular buses. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely time there, exploring Bolzano/Bozen over Easter. Wir waren... More

That explained the absence of a fridge, coffee/tea making gear, iron etc. in our room. Zip. Zero. That was on our second visit to the front desk. A decidedly more cheery encounter than on check-in. Should we have said “buongiorno” or “guten tag” given this was the South Tyrol? Or should I have said “gruss gott” (literally – may God... More

The Post Gries is located about 1.5km from the centre of Bolzano, this is an easy walk into town but also on a regular bus route. The location is easily accessible by vehicle and therefore the location away from the centre of town makes it a good choice The Hotel has a large underground parking garage where spaces are reservable... This was our second trip to Bolsano and our second time to this hotel. Upon arriving the first time we were a little concerned that the center of town was quite a walk. However, we found the hotel has a clever set up for calling a taxi and we never had to wait more than a few minutes, and the... More

This hotel is not a bad choice at all. The service is friendly, the rooms are neat and the breakfast really good. Parking is free which is good and there is WIFI, but not the best that we've experienced on your trip. There's a bus stop close by, but you can also walk through the city which is nice. The... More

For the last 5 years, we have stayed at the Post Gries for a brief overnight stop on our way to skiing in Val Gardena. Although we often arrive past midnight, ther has always been an immediate and efficient welcome - cars in the secure garage and in ourquiet, comfortable rooms within 15 minutes! The breakfast has always been excellent... More

I stayed here for a week on a cycling exploration of the Dolomites, sharing a self-catering apartment with three others. Our apartment was well above average, with a large living area and a balcony. We ate two meals a day at the hotel, all of which were more than sufficient to fuel a demanding cycling itinerary. Breakfast is a European-style... More

We stayed at this hotel for a week while visiting Bolzano for a bike race. The hotel was very clean. The staff was helpful. Perks included: a whole garage dedicated to setting up/assembling/storing the bicycles for the race, free "town bike" rentals, free parking, decent breakfast and dinner included with our stay. Overall we had a very positive experience at... More
