Simply: Tomato was an excellent place to stay in Turin. As soon as you get in you realise that it's a quality place, with a really welcoming atmosphere. Lots of books (although beware that previous travellers have ripped pages out of the travel guides, so bring your own!) and signs about local activities (which are kept up to date) fill... More

This is more of a hostel than a hotel, thus we felt it was overpriced for the service we were provided. Breakfast was very poor, no air-conditioning or fans (imagine that in the July heat in Italy), towels were not replenished, beds were not made, we felt quite unsafe overall. Other than that, the personnel were very nice and helpful,... More

Dear Nicole, thank you so much for your review, although so many months have passed since your stay at Tomato and your first, negative review on another website. First of all, Tomato Backpackers Hotel is a kind of hybrid between a hotel and a hostel: that is, a "backpackers hotel". In fact, we have both private and shared rooms; and... More

This is one of the best hostel I ever been, great location, clean, access to the kitchen at any time and great staff specially Beniamino and Annalisa were very helpful with any question I had. Next time I come back to Turin I'd definitely stay in this hostel again. Thank you Tomato Backpackers I had great time.

This is the best backpackers hotel I have been to. Helpfull friendly people, clean, good large room, bed and bathroom. Niceley decorated. The area is nice, close to the main city center but not to busy. It is not loudy, so you can have a good rest.

I stayed in the 4 bed dorm for 5 nights and I had a really good time. Everything is clean and there is a (very) basic breakfast included. The hostel is located 10 by foot to the train station Porta Nuova, 3 minutes from the Valentino park and around 25/30 minutes from the centre. The only thing that I did... More

Rooms are cosy with enough space. No TV which is an advantage. Social room, kitchen, loundry, breakfest for free. Very friendly hosts that will help with every matter. For the price we've paid, it was really fair. I strongly reccomend Tomato.

The location is perfect, rooms are tidy and you get a complimentary breakfast with delicious coffee. The wifi is not the fastest but otherwise everything was perfect. I will certainly visit this hostel again.

This hostel is just perfect! Having been to many places and stayed in many hostels around Europe, I have to say this one is in very high standard. The room is spacious and with bathroom (I tend to think the place is renovated from a hotel before), and it's spotlessly clean, which is the most important criteria to me. The... More

Dear Louis, thank you sooooo much for your review!!! Yes, this place used to be a traditional hotel before it became the Tomato Backpackers Hotel; that's also why every room has a private restroom. We're looking forward to host you again and we'll try to provide you an even better stay. Best regards, Tom More

It's a great place to stay! Central, easy access to public transport and approx 15min walk to airport bus stop. Very clean, very eco (!!!recycling is encouraged, there are recycling bins - paper, plastic, glass, on every floor) and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I was in 4bed dorm, very spacious with lockers, extra table and chairs, en-suite... More

Tomato turned out to be a great hotel:a kind en very helpfull staff, large rooms with good beds and a great atmosphere (and they have a great taste of music too). It's located near the centre of Turin in an upcoming area with lots of bars and restaurants wich are very popular by students and locals. And (dutch after all)... More
