LOCATION: VERY close to Stazione Porta Susa (rail station) on western boundary of the Turin's central core. From the Turin airport Cassalle, you can taxi it for 30 Euros or take the shuttle to Porta Susa and walk across the piazza to the hotel. To Piazza Castello (tourist hub of Turin), it's a good 15-minute walk, but there's also plenty... more

I was visiting Turin for work, and to be honest am spoiled by staying in pretty nice places usually. The agent we use didn't have any recommended hotels in Turin, but told me this was a member of Leading Hotels...I don't actually think it is...or certainly no of the well-known Leading Hotels of the World as I thought she meant.... more

Stayed at the Diplomatic for 17 nights during the 2006 Olympics. Great location, excellent buffet breakfast. Cleaning service a bit expensive. Wireless internet access was reliable (and free at the time). Staff was very courteous and made the little things to make us feel at home. USA today and Herald Tribune available at the front desk. more

Depressive hotel located near Porta Susa. stayed for 1 night due to Rooms are ok in size and sufficiently clean but everything spells for depression. Reception, room, bathroom , everything is way too old, sadly decorated. Bathroom especially ugly and uncomfortable. A 2-star by today standards. Not recommended at all, not for business, let alone other types of travelling. (take... more

I stayed in this hotel for four nights at end of December / beginning of January, with my husband. Style: hotel located in an old building, probably built in the ‘20, lobby ’80 style large with bar. Location: just opposite Porta Susa rail Station, in a nice and safe area. Three bus stops from the central Piazza Castello and Via... more

We stayed here as part of the "Weekend in Torino" promotion which gave us a great weekend rate plus several extras including free parking, a Torino card for free admission to many museums as well as transportation and a welcome gift of either chocolates or wine. The room was quite large by European standards, quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast... more

I stayed at the Diplomatic in September. I found the room was very large by European standards and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was great and the service at the front desk polite and helpful. I would stay there again. more

Good hotel. The 80s interior design with lots of red and gold hurts the eyes, but is more than compensated by the good services it provides: good breakfast, airconditioning, own parking, good location, quiet room. Bathroom a bit small. Good off season rate through website of the chain of hotels it belongs to: not E 260 but E 80. Very... more
