This was just the place for a stopover. Spent one night here, as the Sex Pistols were playing the Traffic Festival, and I couldn't miss that - but that's another story.... Perfect location, right next to the central station, therefore very easy to get in and out the next day. I took a single room, travelling solo as I was,... more

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights with my husband and co-worker for the Salone del Gusto. I booked more than 6 months in advance and got a great rate. When we arrived at this Best Western, the check in was efficient and very friendly and helpful. We had room 325 and when we entered the room we could... more

Very close to the train station. Rooms a little dated and the breakfast not so good. When we checked out they forgot to give our passports back and we forgot to ask. when we got on the train and had travelled for 1 hour we got off and telephoned the hotel. They were very unhelpful saying it was our fault... more

We travelled to Turin for a weekend break in January 2008 from Luton on Easyjet. We caught the bus from the airport and it stops at the train station just 100 meters from The Genio. My husband emailed the hotel prior to us arriving and we got a free upgrade on our room, and stayed on the top floor (4th)... more

Dec. 28/2007 Regretfully we only stayed in Turin for one night. What a delightfull city and the Hotel Genio was the perfect stopover. It is close to Porta Nuova station but we did not feel unsafe walking back to the hotel at night. There are some delightful restaurants in the area. The centre of town is an easy and pleasant... more

Loved this hotel, and the city. Torino is a beautiful city, and the Hotel Genio was a great way to make the best of it. The staff were helpful, able to recommend a good local pizzeria even though we had arrived late. The rooms were clean, bathrooms excellent, and it was a very comfortable. Its located near the main park... more

Standard room, enough space, quite warm and clean. Good location. nice staff. usual Breakfast. Be sure to eat in an italian restaurant right at the corner, can't remember the name. Another suggestion , restaurant Kipling. You'll get the adress in the hotel. Chack rates at the hotel web page, cheaper in advance. more

Nice hotel, in a short walk to the center. Good breakfast and super-nice staff. The city of Torino is lovely, with many places to see. We stayed for 4 days and it was perfect. Make sure to get the Torino visitor's card, very useful. more

I have stayed in a couple of Italiain Best Westerns & they do seem to have a consistent pattern. They are often small & have their own, slightly quirky character. This one was no exception. The rooms were OK but of a slightly odd shape- the bathroom stretched for miles but was very narrow-loved the 70s style tiling though to... more

First impressions worried me as there was a lot of unsavoury characters and streetgirls hanging about. However these were at side and behind hotel, and never caused me a problem. Rooms were clean with high ceilings and large bathrooms. French doors opened out to let allow fresh air in , air con wasnt very effective, probably due to the high ceilings.... more
